We were in Costa Rica for 8 days and this was our favorite place! Nana (the manager) was incredible. She was warm, welcoming, helpful and truly cared about preserving the beautiful Costa Rica land. The other staff--Michelle, Alan, and Jeffrey were also kind, friendly and amazing. We loved sitting on our front porch watching the wildlife and listening to the rain. I was a bit nervous about the rain, but we had a blast and are so glad we picked Casitas Tenorio!

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans la « casista del sol ». L’endroit est incroyable, nous étions plongé dans la nature. Un grand merci à Nana et Jeff qui sont des supers hôtes !

Casitas Tenorio B&B was a fabulous place. The location is beautiful, the breakfast was yummy and the farm tour was great. The best part was the hospitality of Nana and the rest of the staff. They were very quick to advise us in things in the area as well as around CR. We highly recommend this special spot!

Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux dans cet hôtel ! L’emplacement est vraiment super, en pleine nature.
Le petit déjeuner est un rêve avec la nature au bout de notre table !
La chambre que nous avons eu était superbe, on est vraiment seul en vacances dans sa belle casitas en pleine nature ! C’était génial ????

A beautiful stay at Casitas Tenorio. Surroundings are amazing. We had breakfast while watching birls, squirls, sloths! We stayed a Casita Bosque which is just really confortable while surrounded by a beatiful garden.
You can have a nice walk on the property, have a morning tour of the farm.
Nana and her staff are incredibily welcoming. Just Pura Vida!

Staying at Casitas Tenorio B&B was the perfect way to begin our Costa Rica vacation. It's such a great place to unplug and enjoy the rainforest. We had a clean casita with everything we needed, a great host, and a delicious breakfast each morning. We were close to everything we wanted to do in Bijagua and Tenorio, but we didn't even need to leave our casita to see tucans, sloths, and howler monkeys. I highly recommend staying here!

From the moment we set foot on the property, Nana and the Casitas Tenorio team made us feel at home. Nestled in the forest, this hidden gem is the ideal place to slow down and connect with nature + each other. We saw sloths, monkeys, birds, and more during our stay! Plus, it’s a great location if you want to visit Rio Celeste or the Tapir Valley Nature Reserve. We’re so grateful to have been able to stay at Casitas Tenorio — it was the highlight of our time in Costa Rica!

Beautiful and well maintained grounds and facilities. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and get the most out of your experience. As I'm gluten free, Nana made gluten free pancakes for breakfast. Delicious! She also found a sloth for us to view. We would not hesitate to return again.

Casitas Tenorio was amazing! The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was helpful, and offered advice about the town and property. We enjoyed hiking the trail on site too. We saw beautiful birds from our porch, and we watched monkeys playing as we ate breakfast.

We hadden de El Bosque met ons tweeën voor drie dagen. Perfect! Veel privacy, buren kun je niet echt zien. Super schoon. Mega veel ruimte. Een extra slaapkamer die we niet gebruikt hebben. De fans zijn perfect hier. Alle ramen kunnen open (extra ramen met horgaas ingebouwd). Hele grote warme douche. Heel groot terras om de hele dag op te zitten.
Het terrein waarop je zit is een al natuur.Vanad terras zagen wij toekans iedere ochtend rond 5:30 - 6:00. De hele grote en kleine met zwarte streep. Heel veel andere vogels. Er was een baby slofht van 6 maanden op het terrein ergens in de bomen. Zo schattig deze iedere ochtend te zien ergens in een andere boom. De boerderij op het terrein is super leuk! De uitkijkpost is super.
Het personeel is top. Je voelt je helemaal in de watten gelegd. Jeffrey had voor ons tweeën een tafel bij de receptie klaargemaakt (klinkt gek, maar meest logische plek om je avondeten te eten) met allemaal bloemetjes en hij had de wijnglazen klaargezet! En dit omdat we pizza met een fles hadden besteld bij de lokale pizzeria.
Als laatste Orion, de zzp taxichauffeur, geweldig , betrouwbaar, vriendelijk en niet duur. We hebben hem ons naar Monteverde laten brengen voor een goede prijs. Nog veel meer goede dingen ervaren, dat mag je zelf mee maken! Voor ons was het prijzig, maar iedere cent was het waard.

Notre coup de cœur lors de notre voyage au Costa Rica en mai.
Super accueil, casita propre, fonctionnelle où l'on peut prendre les repas. Le petit déjeuner est bon et copieux (avec les œufs de la ferme) visite de celle ci le matin, bon moment de partage, de rires quand il fallu traire la vache.
nous avons vu plein d'animaux : singes, oiseaux, écureuils, paresseux dont un adorable bébé de 6 mois à un mètre de nous.
Nous avons fait une sortie de nuit avec Miguel et son neveu, là encore 2h30 formidables : grenouilles dont la fameuse rainette aux yeux rouges, tatou, opossums, oiseaux, paresseux etc... a faire +++
un grand merci, cette étape restera notre meilleur souvenir de voyage.

Für uns war es die beste Unterkunft während unserer Rundreise in Costa Rica. Die Häusschen sind toll eingerichtet und sauber. Die Anlage ist wunderschön mit viel eigenem Land und du bist mitten in der Natur. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und familiär und wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Unser Highlight war sicher die Tour zum Bauernhof, das frische und feine Frühstück und das Faultier vor unserem Häusschen im Garten. :)

I loved my stay at Casita Luna! The room was very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious (we loved the coffee here!) Speaking of breakfast, you get to eat delicious fruit and ingredients grown on the farm while enjoying a show of birds and squirrels on the veranda. Nana (the manager) is a saint -- I wish Casitas Tenorio all the success they deserve (while also hoping this best kept secret in in the Alajuela Province stays close to people who want to keep it charming!)

Beautiful property surrounded by nature and good vibes. In close proximity to Rio Celeste/Tenorio National Park, this is a great spot to stay for a couple nights on your trip in Costa Rica. Saw a sloth and many many monkeys on the property

Très bel endroit, toutes les unités sont très fenestré, entourée d'arbres et isoler des voisins.
PS: il n'y a pas de climatiseur mais les nuits sont relativement fraîches 20-22C.
La propriétaire et les employés sont très accueillants et avenants. Nous y sommes restés deux nuits et nous avons vu des toucans, d'autres oiseaux et un paresseux en mouvement ????, nous étions sur le site seulement le matin et en fin de journée et soirée.

We were extremely fortunate to have discovered this gem of a B&B and working farm in Bijagua. The whole experience from arrival was one our family will not forget. We stayed in the Pura Vita Casita which exceeded our expectations. It was organized, clean and colourful. The moment we arrived we saw and heard monkeys and birds and we were even fortunate to see our first sloth. Immediately we toured the grounds on the well marked trails, an added bonus of guests staying at the property. The main lobby was stocked with games, activities and information of the area. The complimentary authentic breakfast was amazing, and the coffee was so delicious. A must do if you have young kids is to partake in the farm tour in the morning before breakfast. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids pet and feed the animals. We don’t speak Spanish so it was bit hard to follow along, but regardless it was a great experience.
If you are looking for a real immersive jungle experience in close proximity to Tenorio Volcano National Park then Casitas Tenorio B&B is a must!

We were fortunate to discover this unique and truly hidden gem - Casitas Tenorio B&B. Set in a beautiful rain forest, our casitas were clean, spacious and immersed in nature. Nana and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were served delicious breakfasts made from farm-produced ingredients, while watching birds in their natural habitat. It was an amazing experience… thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

Prachtig huis.
Netjes onderhouden. In elke kamer hangen plafond ventilatoren. Hierdoor blijft het lekker cool. Om het huis heen zijn aapjes, vogels en ander dieren te vinden. Ook heeft het een mooi terras met schommelbank, schommelstoelen en hangmat stoelen.
Bij het huis is geen WiFi enkele in de algemene ruimte. Voor ons was dit geen probleem.
Tijdens het ontbijt kijk je naar de eekhoorns en vogels die hier uit de bomen hun maaltijd voor de dag komen halen.
Mooie plek. Goede uitvalsbasis voor activiteiten.
Ook hebben wij een avond tocht gedaan naar tapir valley. Hier zijn wij getrakteerd op het zien van een tapier.

Una pequeña joya con su propia granja y sendero. Por desgracia, sólo estuvimos aquí dos noches, pero en ese tiempo pudimos ver más fauna local que en muchas excursiones. Las casitas están amuebladas con mucho cariño, las vistas desde la terraza son de ensueño: pudimos observar colibríes, tucanes y una familia de monos desde la terraza. En el sendero vimos a una madre perezosa con su bebé. El desayuno (casero) es muy sabroso, el tour por la granja muy encantador. Todos son super amables y serviciales. Nos sentimos cómodos en todo momento. ¡Muchas gracias!

Fantastic place to start your adventures from in Tenorio. Relaxed atmosphere with amazing breakfasts everyday to help get your day started. Working farm where kids and adults get to milk cows, hold rabbits and gather eggs. Great place for kids with a nearby hiking trail to explore. We saw lots of animals right from our breakfast table!

We loved our stay in Casitas! It's truly a beautiful place. It's worth a journey to go to Bijagua to stay in this place. We were truly connected to the incredible nature of this place and saw tucans and other tropical birds, monkeys from our balcony in just few meters, squirrels and hummingbirds, sounds of tropical frogs and some interesting beetles and also fireflies. I'd probably recommend a rather short stay, as it could become a bit boring if you're not exploring widely the area. If you do, make sure to hit the trail next to this property, it'll be an experience on its own. The only downside is the breakfast, which was poor, it was very small and insufficient.

This was my second time visiting Casitas Tenorio and I would go back again and again in a heartbeat. The surrounding nature is beautiful, there are sloths in the trees, toucans and other lovely birds surrounding the peaceful open air sitting area, the rooms are stunning, and the staff are all wonderful. I couldn't love it more!

Die Finka ist hübsch eingereicht, ist geräumig und hat eine wunderbare Terrasse, auf der man auch bei Dauerregen behaglich sitzen kann um Tiere zu beobachten.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und steht's bemüht einem Besonderes zu zeigen.
Das Kaffee ist gemütlicher Treffpunkt.
