I’ve come twice for dinner. The whole staff is amazing! The tenderloin was a great choice and the potatoes were so delicious! The grilled chicken with orange sauce is juicy and tender and I’m making myself hungry talking about it. Thank you!!

I went there for supper and this was a great experience. The owner is really friendly she explain that she has 16 rooms in her hotel with 2 pools. The food was really good. It start with hot bread served with some chimichuri mixte with oil. I had a medium rib-eye steak with a salad and french fries it was delicious. The brownie and ice cream as a dessert was excellent. The people I was with had chickens skewers big 6 big piece of chicken and it was good. As side there is few option french fries baked potatoes salad rice and vegetables (you can pick 2). I had a mojito with my plate the drink was on point. Recommended restaurant.

Our group of four came for a birthday dinner on recommendations from our BnB host. Our meal did not disappoint. Their claim to fame appears to be from their wood fired open flame grilling of very tender meats. Unfortunately they ran out of potatoes as our starch side which was easily understood by the full capacity atvthe resto.

Bring your appetite if you take one of the cuts of meat. The tenderloin and Flank steaks were cooked perfectly.

Wine selection was better than most resto's in the area...but Costa Rica does not have a strong wine culture from what we gathered.

Overall we were quite pleased with the food service and ambiance. Definitely would come back.

Great place to eat in carillo! The food was excellent and the ambiance was nice. The only unpleasant point was the service, or lack there of. Overall I will go back again. The gentlemen working the grill were the friendliest, most welcoming of the experience. And they grilled a delicious Delmonico over a wood fire. The aromas permeating made my mouth water! The only contact we had with the waiter was when he pretty bluntly stated to my wife and I, “ you have to move to that table.” No “please”, no “sorry to have to ask” and no “thank you.”then when he took our order. Someone else brought our food to the table. The waiter never came back to check how it was cooked or if we needed anything. There were no napkins on the table and my wife ended up getting up and finding some off another table. By the way menu says tip IS NOT included, but bill had 10% automatically included. Smart on them because service justified $0. However, the food was fantastic and the portion size more than adequate. The grill Chefs thanked us on the way out, and we let them know the food was delicious!

Very, very nice people. They went out of our way to help us. I felt like family. We stayed for 3 nights and ate at the 5 star restaurant! I've never had a steak this good! You could cut it with a knife and the flavor was out of this word! We also enjoyed the 2 swimming pools! I highly recommend this this place!!!

Fernando and Roxana run the best place i've stayed at in a long time. The most courteous hotel staff and restaurant was to die for order the steak and I am from Montana where they have excellent beef, but this beat where I live. We also had the ribs with an orange mustard sauce that was excellent.

Only did the restaurant, not the hotel. Although I like occasional steak, I am not a steak person, especially after a hot day on the beach. So, this review is tainted by having ordered non-steak dishes. Not great. Mine was an Argentinian specialty, a sort of thin dry breaded chicken-of-some-sort cutlet that was just short tasting like an old shoe. However, my wife had chicken fajitas, which was somewhat better, but unusually in a sort of teriyaki-soya sauce - definitely not Mexican. Stick to thesteak and you will likely write a better review than this one. Service was nice.

Me gusta: se ubica muy cerca de playa Carrillo, la comida del restaurante es deliciosa, la atención del personal es excelente y las habitaciones son muy acogedoras y están equipadas.

No me gusta tanto: los carros deben quedar a la orilla de la calle(fueras de las instalaciones), sin embargo, no sucedió ningún percance; En nuestra habitación se escuchaba mucho lo que sucedía en el restaurante.

Disfrutamos mucho del lugar y volveríamos a visitarlos.

Si vous aimez la bonne viande de boeuf argentine cuite au feu de bois, un cadre sympathique et un acceuil avec le sourire c'est ici qu il faut venir! Un vrai régal et une maîtrise de la cuisson! Viande tendre, savoureuse, goûteuse parfumée ! Un vrai délice !

Superbe adresse. Dans ce restaurant la viande est fondante à l’Argentine et grillée superbement ! Plat copieux et très bon rapport qualité /prix . Service prévenant , rapide et toujours à l’écoute! Bref un sans faute ! Bravo

Schönes Zimmer mit einer guten Größe und einer gut ausgestatteten Küche. Preis/Leistung vollkommen in Ordnung.

Juste wow ! Le restaurant est fantastique . La qualité des assiettes est irréprochable et le service incroyable de la part du serveur ( un jeune de 18 ans ) on a pas vue ca souvent même au quebec !

Nos hospedamos en una casa en Puerto Carrillo y descubrimos el lugar para desayunar. La atención es de primera y la comida deliciosa. En una ubicación muy tranquila y silenciosa para hospedarse en una próxima ocasión.

We had to cancel our reservation at another restaurant because the New Year traffic was so heavy. We happened to drive past El Colibri. I'm glad we did because they were able to seat us quickly and the food was great. We split the platter for 2 and it could have easily fed 3. Definitely recommend.
