MENUDA PASADA DE HOTEL

Fuimos a visitarlo porque un familiar nos recomendó la playa de La Abama y es espectacular.

Empezando por el hotel, continuando con el personal de servicio (el cual es encantador) y terminando por su ubicación y la playa a la que puedes acceder desde el hotel (literalmente en un ascensor similar a un teleférico que te lleva directo).

Vimos la playa desde arriba, así que con muchas ganas de volver y visitarla con más tiempo.

Enhorabuena a todo el equipo humano que lo hace posible y un millón de gracias por ponerlo al servicio ????????????

Nueva remesa de trabajadores ,ruidosos y mal educados . Nos hace la vida imposible . Estos se hospedan en Alcalá . A unos kilómetros del hotel. Para que vosotros durmáis bien ????????????

Ritz does everything they can to avoid non customers using the beach next to the hotel. Shame on you! REPLY TO RITZ REPLY: you leave no parking spaces for cars that go down the road (enough space for your little train to go round though), and the parking spaces at the top of the hill are all taken any time of the day! Funny enough, there was no one in the beach except your own customers... which opens a question: if there are no non-Ritz customers at the beach, who is parking at the top of the hill? hmmm...

Bad service. I still haven’t received my invoice via email. Called them many times and they never answer. Managed to get them on the phone they said they would send and it’s been 1week. It is crazy for a ritz

1. In the middle of the night on 26.03, there was a large bang in the bathroom, the shell fell off the wall, if one of us were in the bath that it fell into we would have been seriously injured.

2. I let housekeeping know of a huge ant problem in the room, every time it was apparently sorted, they keep coming back. A insect and hygiene issue. I arranged a birthday cake for my mum in the room. We covered it up to eat later that day and it was absolutely infested
With ants.

3. The gentleman in the room next door sat on his balcony speaking incredibly loud, even when we shut the door we could hear him, we politely asked him to be quiet but he has ignored us numerous times to the point when my mum was poorly and needed rest and he was keeping her awake.
The hotel would not ask him to be quiet before 10pm. This happened frequently during our stay.

4. There were hundreds of flies on the food at the Mirador and these were just left with the food uncovered. Another serious hygiene and insect issue. You can see other trip advisor ratings on this.

5. We asked for various items such as towel, a teaspoon to come to the room over the duration and each time it’s took at least an hour.

6. My mum had been sick and suffered diarrhoea for 9 hours. Along with severe abdominal pains. The hotel only became understanding when he realised this may have been the Norovirus because I then had the same horrendous sickness and diarrhoea 24 hours later. We are still both suffering with this now on our flight home and are unable to eat.

7. The hotel was on the side of a cliff, when we asked to call a golf buggy for my dad who is 75, yet again either it didn’t come or they took over an hour. He also has issues with Parkinson’s and when he asked for a coffee the staff said ‘you can make it yourself’. Someone who had shaking hands struggles with motor tasks.

8. It was that windy, no umbrellas were allowed up by the pool. Therefore my dad had to spend the day in the room since there was no shelter from the sun.

9. My mum found two silverfish in the toilet when I was being sick. Another level of uncleanliness.

Seilbahn zum Strand: kaputt.
Damentoiletten am Strand: kaputt. Kein Türgriff, Toilettenspülung aus der Wand gerissen, kein Haken um seine Tasche aufzuhängen. Toilette wird tagsüber nicht gesäubert, um 17 Uhr nur noch ekelig. Der Boden dreckig und überall lag Klopapier.

Hinter der Dusche am Strand ein Haufen kaputter Liegen, die einen begrüßen.

Kann man ja alles aushalten - aber bei einem Ritz Carlton erwartet man es anders.

The worst experience at a hotel in my life. Stay away!!!! I have stayed at Marriott properties for 1000 nights and this was by far the worst stay. I was lured by my Marriott status and the Ritz Carlton Brand. This hotel should have any branding from Marriott or Ritz revoked—it does not meet the service standards. Great location and hotel but the service is horrendous! Despite a confirmation on the messaging app for a 11:00 AM check in, we finally got our rooms 12 hours later at 11:00 PM! The rooms weren’t even set up properly. They were clearly understaffed and staff failed to follow up on any of the requests from the rooms mentioned above to even dinner reservations. Do not stay here unless you are willing to have minimal expectations from ANY staff service including food service. STAY AWAY! Stay some place else in Tenerife for your own good.

Beautiful villas and villa lounge! I had the best shower head I have had at any hotels. The villas are beautiful with balcony going to the beautiful gardens. The entire property is so beautiful in pink. The beach club was superb and the landscape there is just so breathtaking!

I want to shout out to the amazing breakfast staff. I had an early tour so I showed up at 7:30 the breakfast start time. They knew I was in a hurry and was proactively asking for what I needed without me suggesting it! This level of service that anticipates guest needs is truly reflective of ritz Carlton standards.

The villa lounge is beautiful and its villa guests only. It sees the infinity pool overlooking the volcanic shoreline of Atlantic Ocean.

The gym is fabulous! Modern and full equipment.

Did I mention the pink architecture is picturesque everywhere? Just so beautiful. This is truly a resort experience.

SPA. Посещение спа в отеле Абама на Тенерифе было незабываемым опытом релаксации и ухода за собой. В этом роскошном спа есть все: от разнообразных саун - травяной, финской, до уютного хамама с турецкой атмосферой. Не могу не упомянуть купель с холодной водой, которая так освежает после сауны. А бассейн с водными массажами - настоящий рай для тела и души. Выход на зону отдыха погружает в атмосферу спокойствия, звуки птиц создают идеальный фон для релаксации. Предложенные полотенца, сланцы, халаты, чай, фрукты, мед и сухофрукты дополнили наш опыт и сделали его еще более приятным. Однозначно рекомендую посетить этот уникальный спа - это настоящий оазис уюта и красоты.

I asked the hotel staff at the beach elevator if the bar at the beach is also for non hotel members so i can buy myself a bottle of water. She denied and said „no only for hotel members“. When i entered the beach the bar was open for everyone. Thank you for lying to me @Ritz. I got treated by the lady like second class and will not come to your hotels anymore. Being friendly and honest is not a thing you can buy with money…

Podría aseverar que Ritz-Carlton Abama es el mejor resort del sur de Europa. La arquitectura es una belleza, y su fachada rojiza contrasta con el verde de las plataneras y el azul del océano.
El servicio es impecable y su gastronomía no te dejará indiferente.
Las habitaciones y áreas comunes están decoradas con gusto y refinamiento.
Su playa de arena dorada está cuidada y atendida por su magnífico Beach Club.
Unas vacaciones únicas para disfrutar en pareja o en familia.

En relación calidad precio no es lo que se espera .los pequeños detalles marcan la diferencia, el mantenimiento y el servicio del hotel no está acorde con lo que se paga por la estancia, por ejemplo piscinas mal pintadas pavimento en mal estado zonas deterioradas ,gastronomía en cuestión cantidad cálida y precio muy pobre , por el precio de la estancia en el abama un fin de semana me decantó por el palacio de isora con los ojos cerrados.

Stunning hotel, can't praise the care and attention we received from every single member of staff. 5 star rating just not high enough....thank for a fabulous week. Only one negative was the night of a huge wedding, music was so ???? awful and too loud.

Wir (2 Ehepaare) wohnten vom 11. - 25. Februar 24 im Hotel. Unmittelbar vor Ausbruch der Pandemie waren ebenfalls dort und haben ein erstklassiges Hotel genossen. Wenn Sie jetzt beabsichtigen, ein 3 Stern Hotel zum Preis eines 5 Stern plus Hotels zu buchen, sind Sie im Abama richtig.
Das Nachfüllen der Minibar dauerte trotz Urgenz beim Concierge 3 Tage. Die Teppiche in den Gängen sind abgenützt und mit Flecken übersäht. In den Restaurants gibt es keine freien Tische für die Hotelgäste. Eine Mitarbeiterin in einem Restaurant sagte mir, dass nicht alle Tische vergeben werden, weil zu wenig Personal verfügbar ist. Anrufe übers Zimmertelefon zum Golfsekretariat waren nicht möglich. Bei der Suite 468 brach der Verputz bei der Türlaibung heraus, das kümmerte niemanden.
Wir haben im Zimmer 2 Toitet Bags von Luis Vuitton vergessen und kurz darauf versucht, anzurufen. Es hat niemand abgehoben.
Am nächsten Tag habe ich mit Mühe den Concierge erreicht, der mir einen Rückruf versprach, der natürlich nie erfolgte. Mein Mail an das Management war sinnlos, da keine Reaktion. Eine Intervention über unser Reisebüro erfolgte zwar, war aber ebenso erfolglos. Bis dato ((über 10 Tage) gibt es weder einen Anruf noch ein Mail. Das Service in diesem Ritz Carlton entspricht nicht einmal dem einer Jugendherberge. Das Personal ist bemüht, aber hoffnungslos überfordert. Das Problem ist offensichtlich das Management. Für uns: Nie wieder Abama.

Fantastic hotel but most importantly Fantastic crew helping us during out stay. You are making such a great hard work which is refre to see!! The team in every department could not be more cheerful, happy and helpful ! Dont listen to others Karens reviews . The resort is not only beautiful but the world class service is delievered here. It was the second time visiting and i was equally impressed. Special thanks to Yballa serving us at the beach - she is shining more than the sun on sky, bringing smile and laughter on the beach. The selection of restaurants will cater to everyones needs - from an easy going beach bar, through casual restaurants to Michellin stars Award dining. Visitied MB for the second time too and was just fantastic. During my stay , there was a big wedding going on but did not disturb our stay too much. Thank you team, you are fantastic!!

We came here for the family friendliness of the hotel which they go to great lengths to market. And then they decided to put us right above a wedding party - our room is directly above the dance floor and our floor is literally shaking as the DJ / band maxes out on the base. We spoke to hotel front of house about the noise which clearly is a problem when you have a toddler trying to sleep at 8pm. Reception categorically denied there is a wedding to begin with - and then said they will ‘provide the information to management who can then contact us’. We then spoke to both the staff on wedding duty as well as wedding guests - all of whom confirmed, unequivocally, that it was indeed a wedding so reception outrightly lied and no ‘management (or anyone else for that matter)’ ever contacted us. We asked about changing a room but reception insisted that management would contact us about a solution which never happened. If you want to host a wedding on a non exclusive basis and have other guests at the same time and monetise on your kids friendliness feature you’ll have to go about things more mindfully (than dumping the families in the noisiest part of the hotel and then deny the problem exists).

I am visiting through work and have been extremely lucky to be invited to visit the Ritz Carlton, Abama. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are all immaculately clean, the environment inside is very very welcoming.

The only downside for me is the high price point for drinks and food, which is hard to get around if you're on a budget, as there isn't any shops or restaurants nearby that you can visit.

This being said, the location is nice and very private, and Playa Abama is the nicest beach I've visited in a long time. The views from all rooms are spectacular also, I was lucky enough to be given an Ocean View, which would be my preference.
