A one day hike inside of Kilimanjaro National Park allows you to experience the thrill of climbing Africa's highest mountain while you avoid the summit and extreme altitudes. We offer low to medium or high fitness options via the Marangu (Rain forest), Shira (Shira Plateau) or Machame (Rain forest) trails with an expert Mountain guide.

Day 1 - Moshi to Kilimanjaro (Marangu Forest) to Moshi
Etapes : Moshi
Start from Moshi (08:00am, location to be confirmed) and drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park headquarters at the end of Marangu village passing the village and the upper cultivated zone of Kilimanjaro.
You enter the park and start you hike (medium fitness) through the dense mountain rain forest for around 3-4 hours till Mandara Hut (picnic lunch either in route or at Mandara Hut depending on walking pace).
You will see all of the beautiful tree vegetation Africa’s highest mountain has and may be lucky to encounter Blue monkeys, Colobus monkeys and special species of birds. In the afternoon you descend through the rain forest trail back to the park gates (estimated 2-4 hours) where you rejoin your driver and drive back to Moshi.
Approximate driving time: 1-1.5 hour to Kilimanjaro / 1-1.5 hour back to Moshi
