Dommage !

Hospitable and welcoming, from the attentive staff to the well appointed rooms and the excellent meals conveniently at hand, Grand Pigalle ticks all the boxes for a brilliant value hotel. Which is not to say that it's cheap, but you do feel that every centime is well spent. The neighborhood became our neighborhood while we were visiting Paris and we fell into the habit of saying, at day's end, "let's go home," meaning home to Grand Pigalle.
We visited in January which may be why we found the location quiet and restful. I cannot vouch for volume levels during peak travel season, but I suspect the convenience of the location would more than offset the irritation of any street noise.

I would stay here a hundred times more if I could!
The rooms are super cute, very Parisian and the staff and amenities at the hotel are all worth it. The location is close to pigalle station on the metro and a quick 20 minute walk to Gare du Nord. When we arrived on the train, we walked to the hotel and found it with ease.
Our plans changed and we had to change our stay to just one night in this hotel, so when I changed the booking, I picked a regular room. When we arrived, the staff were so warm and welcoming and they even upgraded us to the grand room, so that was a nice surprise to us! It made our quick stay just that much more memorable. The room had a view of the streets and the buildings around, but still was fairly quiet at night and for being a relatively popular area.
The bed was comfortable, and the room had a lot of space.
The restaurant on the ground floor has a lot of great options, highly recommend.

Just checked out after several days here. We became sick with food poisoning almost immediately upon arrival (unrelated to the hotel), so spend most of the time in our room.
Biggest takeaway is that the walls are SO thin. We could fully hear every word spoken in the room across the hall from ours. The halls, elevators, and rooms are cramped and dark. We were woken up several times by drunk guests walking up the stairwell because all the walls are so thin. We slept every night with white noise and ear plugs.
Every time someone in the hallway walked through or unlocked or opened the door or spoke in the hallway, we could hear it as if it were our own. The single elevator couldn’t fit the two of us with minimal luggage.
The staff was kind though.
Ultimately, I don’t think this felt like a 4 star hotel, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Grand Pigalle! The staff here are super friendly and happy to serve you. The rooms are small but perfect with a very comfortable bed and black out curtains. We also enjoyed the complimentary coffee in our room. Hotel is very well situated for getting around Paris. We are so happy to have stayed here for New Year! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay here. The location was perfect, lots of great places to eat close by as well as the hotel restaurant.
The best thing was how kind the staff were, in particular Alex. He was so kind and thoughtful. On our last day, he purchased a box of madelines for our daughter (simply because I said she liked them). These little touches are truly special. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We planned to stop 2 nights, left after one night as there was a leak in the ceiling and no other rooms available - was left with the option of staying in a room with a bucket catching the water or finding an alternative hotel ourselves.
Beware of rooms on the first floor, ours was near the kitchen vent and it smelled of frying, so we moved rooms (unfortunately to a smaller room, which then had a water leak).
Great location and nice breakfast but can't recommend due to the fact the first room smelled horrible and the second room was smaller and we then had to move at 10pm at night.....
Hotel refunded the second night as we didn't stop there, didn't offer any compensation for the fact we had to move hotel at 10pm with no assistance.

Reception & Cleaning staff were incredible, the room was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for when we arrived to Paris.
However the breakfast staff were appalling, they were rude, arrogant and inconsiderate. It actually got to the point where we didn't want to have the breakfast that was included with our stay any more it was that horrendous. We would walk in and just be stared at and not greeted, they would approach after 10 minutes of not saying a word and just look at us and say "yes" when they wanted to take our order as if we were an inconvenience to their day. Then a French guest would walk in and they would all immediately greet them, bring over pastries and politely take their order. Being this was our first time to Paris I didn't know if this was just a "French" thing but at all of our dinner reservations we received phenomenal service so it was definitely just a personal thing either towards us or towards people who weren't French. One morning one of the breakfast girls shoved my pregnant girlfriend out of the way to wipe down a table we were about to sit at, absolutely disgusting.
The singular fleeting moments that some service was provided was when someone in a suit walked in on two occasions, I presume some sort of manager, and they would all scurry back in from their circulating cigarette breaks and suddenly they were doing a fantastic job and come over and pretend like they were being hands on and pro-active. Reminiscent of children when the teacher leaves the class.
Could not speak highly enough of the actual hotel and the other staff who worked there, but this service we received every single morning was the worst I have ever received at any hotel and completely ruined our experience here.

The Grand Pigalle left little to be desired, as it was excellent on so many levels. Great location, beautiful rooms and views, and a staff full of warm and inviting people. It doesn’t matter what time of day, they are all amazing. When you check in, cross your fingers for Tyler — he’s the best. Great restaurant suggestions, gentle charm and casual banter after returning from your trips about Paris. Pigalle is full of good food and excitement; Montmarte up the hill has art, splendor and shops galore; and the metro station at St. Georges is just a casual walk down the hill from the hotel. It doesn’t get much better, I will be returning for sure.

We stayed 4 nights during Easter weekend. Booked it based on past reviews and our affinity for SoPi area. Have to say all the reviews are on point. It’s a small hotel but charming. Rooms are “cozy” like most Parisian boutiques. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is amazing. Heart of SoPi and walking distance to it all. Our flight to AMS was canceled and had to stay an extra night. Since they were not busy that night they were able to accommodate us in a bigger room. Go for the bigger rooms if there’s not too much of rate difference but nonetheless five star stay all around.

I stayed here with my wife and had a nice stay. Unfortunately the room we picked was much smaller then anticipated (one of the ‘Parisian Roof’ rooms). It says that it was 26sqm, but usable space was much less due to the design of the building. That’s ok, as we are essentially in the roof, but some better photos to show this or a floor plan with an accurate description would help.
On another note, the weekend we stayed, Paris had hit the mid 20’s (Celsius). However, the air conditioning in the rooms is controlled centrally and does not get turned onto ‘cool’ mode until May. For the most part in winter that’s fine, however coming from a climate that doesn’t use heating much, we had to cool the room down by keeping the windows open. Again, a better description of centrally controlled heating and cooling, is a more accurate representation of what was available.
With that, the bathroom was too small. The shower was positioned in such a way that if you’re any taller then 5’ 10, you’ll have an issue trying to fit, both under the shower and also your shoulders. Yes this had a bath, but I personally don’t use them, so found this very difficult.
One of the most annoying aspects of being on the top floor was that the elevator doesn’t go all the way up. Coming from the other side of the world, we had heavy suitcases, so it’d have been nice to know that we need to carry these up the stair case before arriving. As well, because there is only 1 elevator, the staff seem to use it a fair bit, which just should not happen, as it should always be as available as possible for guest usage.

We stayed for two nights and would definitely visit again. The staff are wonderful, from Alexandre who was there at check in and departure to all others who helped us when needed. Very good directions as well to attractions in Paris. The hotel is very close to two metro stations and super handy for Sacré Coeur where we walked to on our first night in 15 minutes, as well as being 15 minutes away from the Gare du Nord. Rooms as excellently furnished and the beds, oh, the beds are sublime! Like sleeping on a supportive and super comfortable cloud.:)

Had a wonderful early April while visiting the Grand Pigalle Hotel. The room was so cosy, the decor is really nice and the bathroom was completely magnificent. I really loved the style of the hotel all in all. The staff was helpful and full of nice intentions and ideas, also Tayler from the front desk helped us out when we didn't know what to do for our last day. He was brilliant. He really helped us have a great trip. The entire staff was so attentive and thoughtful. It was just the cherry on top. Thanks to everyone, we WILL be back!

We had a reservation, we’re notified 10mimutes in advance vr that they were closed, no apologies, no tips for other place to go. Bad service
