Id say this hotel is great for a night or 2. Its a simple and effective place with fantastic transport links to the rest of Paris.
Once we arrived we were informed that we would have two separate beds for our stay, despite booking a room with a double bed. As a gay couple we are usually hesitant to resist such a request as we don't want to risk our safety as you never know what the other person might be thinking. So we got up to our room and its not just two separate beds but separate beds squeezed together between fitted bedside tables meaning they're always just a little bit apart. This was a bit if a struggle to sleep on as a couple but its fine.
The area around the hotel i would describe as a bit dodgy. There's lots of groups of men that hang around right outside the door of the hotel and all the shops. They play music all night long and we did feel a bit uncomfortable walking down the street at night.
The elevator in this hotel is very very small, we didn't have many bags but keep this in mind if travelling with lots of luggage.
We requested a balcony and had that with our room. It was a really nice touch to the room and uplifted it a bit.
In our room the shower head was not attached to the wall of the shower. This made for an awkward showering experience as you have to hose yourself down a bit. Again, totally fine if you're there for a night or two but definitely would've preferred a normal shower.
The closet is large and enough room for 2 peoples items.
No kettle in room, which probably is normal but coming from the UK ive been gagging for a cuppa.
The staff were very nice and helpful.
