Chambre calme et propre. Bon lit.

Zona agradable.
Servicio atento y efectivo.
Habitaciones poco refinadas pero funcionales.
Shower 7/10: clean, but awkward low angle and it took a while to get hot.
Room 7/10: Small but clean. When it rained, some water came in from the balcony door. In general it got humid fast. Not a big issue.
Staff 10/10
Location 10/10: close to bus, train, metro for easy access to tourist areas, cafes, restaurants, shopping. Quite a safe neighborhood.
Noise 6/10: during the week it was okay. Average level of street noise before 10pm (we faced the road). Friday night was louder, both from the street and inside the hotel hallway.
The first thing we noticed upon our arrival was the long staircase you need to walk up to reach the hotel’s front desk on the first floor. This could pose a slight challenge for those with mobility issues, but once checked in, you will find a small but fully functional lift that provides easy access to the rooms on the upper floors.
The location of the hotel is one of its standout features. It’s situated directly across from the Denfert-Rochereau metro station, with the RER B line and Orlybus terminal just a short walk away. This made our daily commuting incredibly easy, whether we were heading to central Paris or catching a bus to the airport. Additionally, Gare de Montparnasse is close enough for a pleasant stroll, providing further connectivity.
The surrounding neighbourhood is lively and filled with options for dining and shopping. From charming local cafés and restaurants to a 24-hour Monoprix nearby, we found it easy to grab a meal or pick up essentials whenever we needed them.
As for our room, it was small but very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with soundproofing that ensured a peaceful night’s sleep despite the central location. The free Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the staff were always welcoming and ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. The hotel also offers a limited laundry service, which we found useful during our longer stay.
Breakfast is served in a cosy dining area, where a continental spread of fresh croissants, bread, jams, fruit, and coffee awaited us each morning. It was a simple but satisfying way to start the day before heading out to explore the city.
The hotel’s proximity to attractions like the Catacombs of Paris and the historic Lion of Belfort monument at Place Denfert-Rochereau made it an excellent location not only for transport but also for sightseeing. We found ourselves exploring these nearby landmarks during our free time, adding a touch of history and culture to our stay.
Overall, Hotel du Lion provided a great combination of comfort, convenience, and friendly service. The staircase to the reception may be a small inconvenience, but the clean rooms, helpful staff, and prime location more than make up for it. For travellers looking for an affordable and practical place to stay in Paris, this hotel is a solid choice.
Owner even helped us carry out 50 pound heavy bag downstairs.
We will come again if we visit Paris in future
Black out médio.
O check out é as 11h.
Pequeno almoço : Não provei porque as críticas diziam que não valia a pena
Breakfast is avaliable but I did not have this... but it did smell good!
One flight of steps to get in the hotel reception but there is one lift inside to get to room levels.
Comfortable beds and room was quiet, bathroom was a good size, enjoyed two nights here during the Paralympics and transport is easy with Metro nearby and Uber/Taxis not bad prices..
Would stay again as nice area and room very clean.
