I stayed at the Suites & Hotel Helzear Etoile with my family. The location is amazing, rooms were cosy and well decorated with full amenities. Considering the area and the prices in Paris, this is good value for money. The staff were very kind, always happy to help. I fully recommend this hotel. Prices at the website were lower than at booking.

Hotel acogedor en pleno centro del distrito VIII a un paso de los Campos Eliseos y del arco del triunfo. Los servicios de un hotelito con el plus de una pequeña cocina office en cada habitacion. Y posibilidad de habitaciones familiar. El personal de recepción amabilísimo y servicial. Un 10.

Nous avons passer un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est accueillant, notre suite était très bien. L’hôtel est très proche des Champs Elysées parfait pour le shopping. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

I literally no words re this hotel…they cancelled the booking without any informed. Even though it’s their system issues…..

I booked a room from their official website, I got confirmation email and confirmation login code. But hotel front desk said that they cannot reserved money from my card because I should use the card holder’s name to book room(I used my English name booked room not name on the card) Then I changed the guest information from booking, but hotel still can’t get payment and ask me to book a room again. —>But they can’t garantie I can get same type of room back during the rebooking process. Then I asked them to send me new payment request, but they refused and requested me to wait their solution/ response.

But I only got a booking cancellation email in the end….they really don’t care their guests….

First of all the elevator doesn’t work, reception is small and one guy works for everything! The rooms are very noisy and every day i wake up at 7:30 to slamming doors and noise. The rooms are so dirty try walking with your socks on! & finally they literally stole 1 shoe and left me one which is so weird and they won’t admit it! never coming back!

Appart hôtel bien situé, très propre,personnel agréable, des petits détails à régler (fraiseur rempli de glace et qui coule dans le frigo ,et un paillason à l'entrée de l'appartement (nous étions dans le Paul gaugin)qui donne directement sur la cour ,et lorsqu'il pleut des cordes vous mettez de l'eau partout dans l'entrée !

Not worth the money I paid. Really small room like box room.Even the bathroom is bigger than bedroom. Not suitable for family.
Tv’s not working. Bad service. It’s not even 2 star hotel. Really disappointed ☹️

it was okay. What made it Special is close to Champs Elysees. The shower is tooooo small which makes it very hard to take shower. The kitchen has no cooking equipment at all.

Further, the bathroom is inside the bedroom which makes it very difficult for non-couple. I would suggest to switch the bedroom with the living room which makes the bathroom out of the bedroom.

We were charged for something we didn't use at all. We tried to contact the hotel to solve the problem but they were anything but helpful at the beginning and after some time stopped responding at all. It's a shame that the hotel doesn't care. After all we would definitely not recommend the hotel to anyone.

booked for a night. the location was great and so close to everything. amenities were abundant and rooms were small but clean. our receptionist saad was so terrific; so kind, hospitable and welcoming. honestly, he was the best part of the stay!

There is no bellboy and porter only one person is working in the reception. All staff are rude. There is no telephone in the room. Wifl is not working.We wanted water from reception but he said water finished. This is not a4star hotel. It’s like a hostel.

This 'hotel' is an absolute joke. For starters, it isn't actually a hotel, more like a serviced appartment.
There are no facilites, and no staff after 10PM. Our entire stay was disasterous, from sewage pouring out of the shower drain and going 3 days without a working shower or toilet, to booking a ground floor room with a bath and being given a first floor room with a shower. The staff were extremely unhelpful (except for the manager who did try to make things right, but as soon as they left, it all fell apart again)
On our last day, they told us they would move us rooms so that we could use a working shower, and that we needed to wait at the property until the room was ready. THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN UNTIL GONE 5PM IN THE EVENING. This cost us our entire last day in Paris and was very upsetting to my wife and child. The rooms are quite dirty, we stayed for 5 days and the hard floors were never mopped once.
Towels were not replaced unless you asked and the beds were not changed in the 5 days we stayed.
Overall, the property is very dated, quite dirty, not very accomadating and the staff are totally unsympathetic to any issues. If you have a problem after 10PM (like sewage pouring out of the shower drain) then you are totally on your own as they don't answer the out of hours number.
Update:
The hotel finally contacted me to ask me to remove my review in return for a 5% refund. After some back and forth, we agreed a refund amounting to about 40% if we removed our review. They asked us to remove the review and they would then make the refund payment. After removing the review, they then contacted us again saying they were only going to refund 10%, because it was a misunderstanding. An absolute scam!!!

My experience at the Helzear Montparnasse hotel was a mixed bag. The hotel is easily accessible by train and is within walking distance of fresh produce markets and restaurants, which is a plus. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by a polite gentleman who checked us in and charged my card in full for our hotel stay.

He escorted us to our rooms in the main building. Unfortunately, there was a distinct smell of mold and mildew in the air when he opened the door, and the runner (rug) lining the stairs was worn and dirty. My father and I looked at each other hesitantly but continued to follow the gentleman to our rooms. My suite was the 1 bedroom Dollanier Rousseau suite, and my father had a junior suite.

The Dollanier living room had a crack running through the floor, and the sofa was worn. The large toilet flush button was broken. I opened the refrigerator door to find the freezer door hanging on by one hinge and could not close it. The kitchenette was tiny. The bed was comfortable but felt damp, and the comforter was plush. The suite was cool but not cold, and as we arrived at the hotel in the evening, we decided to spend the night. That was a HUGE mistake.

The temperature in the unit dropped from 70 degrees/21.1 Celsius to 14.6 Celsius/58.3 degrees, but both heating units were set to the highest level, 5. The next morning, I went to the front office, but no one was present. I emailed the hotel regarding the heat issue and received a response to check the heater settings.

Upon returning to the hotel at 5 pm, we stopped by the front office and explained the heaters were set to 5. The gentleman went to my room and acknowledged the heater wasn't working. The gentleman offered us a tiny one-bedroom, clean and neat, in a different building, but it only accommodated two adults (my husband who arrived that day and me); the baby crib didn't fit in the bedroom. I explained to the gentleman the room was unacceptable. I was advised that if I checked out, I would have to submit a request for credit because he wasn't authorized to grant one. Rather than take a loss of money, we decided it was best to stay in the new room.

The new room was clean, but the towel hook by the shower was broken, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, and the closet was in the living room instead of the bedroom. There was a ledge to place items in the bedroom, but you had to stand or kneel on the bed to access it (no nightstand). Furthermore, dishes, such as cups, a wine opener, and a spatula, were missing from the cupboard.During checkout, I asked for credit, and the gentleman told me to place an email request, and I might receive a 14Є to 17 Є credit.

In summary, the Helzear Montparnasse Hotel has some positives, such as its accessibility and proximity to markets and restaurants. However, the rooms had some issues, including a moldy smell and worn-out furniture. The heating system was also faulty, which made for an uncomfortable stay. The staff was polite, but the options for resolving issues were limited. If you're willing to gamble, then Helzear Montparnasse may be worth considering, but travelers beware.

The rooms are a bit dated in terms of furniture but the location is great and clean the staff is super friendly and you are at a walking distance from the catacombs, the subway and the bus station. The street right in the corner is filled with great grocery shops, restaurants and boulangeries we loved loved loved the privacy and the convenience they do offer a parking space for an additional cost. I will definitely come back.

Déçue. Une chambre qui ne correspondait pas à la description. Un canapé qui n’engageait pas à s’asseoir avec des trous de cigarettes. Un sol pas clean avec des parties manquantes. Une salle de bains minuscule. Je défie quiconque de rentrer dans le cabine douche !! Et que dire de la chambre !!!! Mezzanine !!! Avec un escalier meunier !! Incroyable en 2024!! Plafond taché. Un portant en guise de dressing. Je n’ai pas pu monter ma valise dans cette chambre tant c’était déjà risqué pour y accéder ! Bref. A éviter

Wer günstig und einen guten Standort möchte, kann das Hotel buchen. Allerdings sollte man hier mit einigen Unannehmlichkeiten rechnen. Der Service ist wirklich katastrophal! Beim Einchecken gab es Probleme da unser Zimmer nicht fertig war (es war bereits nach 16 Uhr). So sammelten sich viele Hotelgäste in der kleinen Lobby um darauf zu warten, dass jeweils das Zimmer fertig beziehbar ist. Der Rezeptionist (ein junger Mann) wirkte vollkommen gleichgültig als nach und nach sich die Leute beschwerten weil alle kmmef nur vertröstet wurden. Der Rezeptionist war extremst arrogant und entschuldigte sich nicht für die Unnannehmlichkeiten. Nein, stattdessen hat man sogar noch das Gefühl bekommen, dass man als Gast Umstände macht. Ein sehr unprofessionelles Verhalten. Der Lift ist dazu extremst klein. Oft trifft man hier auch auf die Zimmerreinigungskraft, welche dann mit rollenden Augen und stöhnend im Lift stehen wenn man diesen als Gast betreten möchte. Frische Handtücher gibt es auch nicht jeden Tag da die Lieferung mit Handtüchern nicht kommt. Alte Handtücher welche auf dem Boden liegen werden aber auch nicht mitgenommen (vielleicht liegt es daran, dass es keine Handtücher mehr gibt. In jedem anderen Hotel auf der Welt werden Handtücher welche auf dem Boden liegen mitgenommen und durch Neue ersetzt.
Die Zimmer sind solide ausgestattet und es ist sauber.

The rooms are not ready at the time of check-in. We’ve waited for two hours for our room along with 8 other people, whose rooms were also not ready. With two small children we’ve checked in only at 5 pm. Stuff at reception is absolutely helpless. While we were waiting 3 times people were given not the type of rooms that they booked for. The rooms are very small and noisy. Only the location is good.
