The first time was pretty pleasant apart from the service at the restaurant. One of the waitresses was incredibly arrogant and rude, and overall there was a very uncomfortable attitude in the room. The food was awful… also arrogant… all display but no flavor.
The second time we arrived the day a storm was due to hit. I wish the hotel had sent out a notification about this storm prior to the day, as we would have definitely chosen to change our reservation to another night.
The room itself was lovely, as it should be for 280 euros per night… in autumn. I did feel they should have put more coffee capsules in the room and quite honestly, the room is nowhere near worth that price out of season because, as we experienced, if the weather is bad, you lose access to the room’s main feature, the balcony, and are essentially trapped in a room. The balcony furniture was removed and outdoor lighting turned off, so it was a pretty miserable evening for my husband and I, who ended up going to bed early with our child as there was nothing else to do.
This second time we avoided the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised by the shared platters they serve in the bar. We had both the sea and land platters which I highly recommend. Our waitress was lovely, bubbly and very professional.
The SPA facilities are ok. There is a salt water pool that, both times, was pretty crowded with not enough deck chairs or hooks. There is one jacuzzi that was hardly warm and a basic sauna and steam room… I’ve been to many hotel SPAs worldwide and I can’t say this one has anything remarkable about it, certainly nothing to warrant paying 280 a night out of season.
Staff are either incredibly professionnel and friendly or incredibly rude and arrogant. It’s 50/50 depending on who you fall on. On our recent stay we checked in with a lovely man who was so welcoming but 3 hours later when I rang reception to ask about the ingredients in a dish on the Room Service menu, I was snapped at and spoken to very rudely by some woman.
Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again, for two reasons: the inconsistency when it comes to service, and the unwarranted price of the room. Even if it had been a warm summer day, the balcony has no privacy, after 2 steps you are in full view of your neighbors (separated by only a rope) and all the balconies above look down onto yours… that’s pretty shocking when you consider the price you are paying for a “luxury” room.
Les équipements au spa sont très bons.
Seul bémol, le prix du petit dej est assez élevé surtout si vous etes 4.
