Sehr schönes Resort mit allem was das Herz begehrt.
Top Service egal ob am Empfang oder in den diversen Restaurants - besonders hervorzuheben ist die Bar. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Größter Pluspunkt für uns - Privatstrand und Service am Pool und am Strand.
Die Juniorsuite war schön eingerichtet und sauber - der Zugang zum Strand direkt vom Zimmer aus war wirklich ein Highlight.
Personal überaus zuvorkommend und freundlich.

My husband and I travelled all the way from Australia to visit my in laws in Mauritius. We booked the hotel prior and we were given a sea view from our room’s balcony. We enjoyed our stay, the buffet was delicious. There was even a live music after the dinner which we felt like we were watching a mini concert. All in all the experience was amazing. We will definitely be back here ????????????

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour d’une semaine dans ce cadre magnifique et exceptionnel.

La chambre est spacieuse, propre, confortable (très très bonne literie) et la salle de bain très belle.
On ne manquait de rien. Le personnel de chambre très respectueux, discret et serviable.

L’hôtel est grand, vaste, et magnifiquement décoré. Il y a quelque chose de beau à chaque recoin. Tout est bien pensé.

La plage est paradisiaque et il y a pleins d’activités nautiques à faire.
Des algues juste au bord de la mer mais qui finalement n’était pas du tout dérangeant même sans chaussons (prévoir des chaussons de mers sinon pour un peu plus de confort).

L’hôtel propose aussi beaucoup d’activités sportives (salle de sport, terrain de tennis, terrain de padel, et bien d’autres activités…) même si personnellement j’en ai pas fait, les amoureux du sport seront gâtés.

Je passais la plupart de mon temps au spa.
Le spa de l’hôtel est vraiment propice à la détente et à la relaxation, le cadre est magnifique et apaisant. Il propose piscine, jacuzzi, hammam et sauna. J’ai pu faire aussi 3 prestations de soins, chacun exceptionnel, le personnel est agréable et professionnel (merci à Marie et Anjanee), un grand merci aussi à Sun à l’accueil, chaleureuse et joviale elle est vraiment le rayon de Soleil du spa !

La nourriture est excellente et de qualité, avec un très large choix au buffet pour le petit-déjeuner et le dîner (cuisine indienne, italienne, asiatique, mexicaine, grill… il y a vraiment de TOUT à manger, le buffet était vraiment impressionnant).
Le personnel est très serviable, accueillant et dynamique. Merci aux serveurs, et mention spéciale à Mevine au service ????

J’ai testé aussi 3 restaurants de l’hôtel : le Bodrum Blue (cuisine turque), le Hinti (cuisine péruvienne), ils proposent chacun de très bons plats de qualités de leurs spécialités culinaires.
Et le Beach Rouge (cuisine méditerranéenne) c’est plutôt un restaurant de plage qui propose des plats plus simples pour le déjeuner par exemple c’était idéal.

Un grand bravo et merci à tous pour ce séjour de rêve. Le personnel a vraiment été au petit soin du début à la fin. Je n’ai pas retenue tout les prénoms mais le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel et attentionné, et c’est le point le plus positif.

Pour la localisation de l’hôtel ce n’est pas l’emplacement idéale je pense si on veut sortir de l’hôtel pour profiter de la ville, mais si on veut aller vers grand baie c’est très facile et rapide c’est à 20 minutes en voiture.

Je recommande à 100% et je reviendrai avec plaisir !

One of the best resorts or the best I have been too, the staff made the experience absolutely wonderful and it was genuine. We went for my dad's 60th birthday and during the whole stay they looked after us and treated us well. It was so relaxing and we had no idea that their were lots of different activities such as a Junk Art Cafe where everything is made from sustainable and recycled materials, Mario and Anais helped make some wonderful gifts for us and are so lovely. There are lots of restaurants, Inti (Peruvian cuisine) was my absolute favourite, Chefs Ramen and Warren really nailed it and also showed us the bee hive they have on site. Abhiday helped us settle in and helped arrange a surprise, Mevine and Naresh are absolute stars and are the prime examples of people that give the best hospitable service.

Really recommend Lux Grand Gaube, I was surprised how much I enjoyed staying here and really felt relaxed and looked after the whole stay.

Très bel hôtel bien entretenu avec de jolis spots photos et de beaux extérieurs.
Un espace adulte only et un espace pour tous.
Les plus : la qualité de la literie, la douche et la chambre sont spacieuses et propres, la piscine agréable avec vue sur l'océan, la chambre est faite plusieurs fois par jour. L accueil et la disponibilité du personnel est remarquable. Endroit adapté aux familles et aux bébés. La gentillesse du personnel est ce qui me fera certainement revenir dans cet établissement.
Les moins : la qualité de la nourriture est bonne mais pas exceptionnelle. Beaucoup d escaliers pas très pratique avec une poussette. La plage est relativement sale et les marées hautes et basses nous font bouger de place souvent. NE PAS ALLER LA-BAS SI VOUS CHERCHEZ LA PLAGE.

We got married in March 2023 at the Lux Grand Gaube on the beach. In total, we spent 10 days here with our two witnesses and their partners. It was perfect for us from the beginning. The check-in went smoothly and we were served a delicious mocktail and refreshment towels. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean, except for small things in the bathroom (hair from the predecessors) that was not so nice. The food is really great (buffet) very varied and there is something for everyone! We were eating in all the restaurants of the resort and the quality is just right.
But our highlight was the wedding on the beach, a very special thanks goes to our wedding planner **Anastajia**she was simply terrific and always stood by our side even before our trip, we were in very good hands and did not feel alone. I or we recommend the package "Infinity wedding package with the fees", I would always recommend that, it is an all-round carefree package and exactly as described! Thank you again for everything and see you soon.

- Just returned from a week in Mauritius, staying at the lovely Lux resort! Overall had a fabulous time, the resort grounds are beautiful with the most pristine private beach. Shout out to particular staff members who made our stay really memorable - Reedoo who manages the beach beds and service - so accommodating, friendly and funny! Sun who works at the spa - she is the sweetest and most welcoming. Ludo doesn’t work for the hotel but he provides private boat tours from the beach and he’s great!! The resort has a lot of facilities that are such a nice touch. Especially loved Beach Rouge restaurant - food is fabulous (recommend the seafood platter), and the setting on the private bay is gorgeous. We ate there twice in 6 days. Live cooking breakfast was great and the fresh fruit room was awesome.

- That being said, there are definite areas for improvement. The rooms are lovely but quite dated. They could be far cleaner. Our bathroom was smelly. Dust where there shouldn’t be and sheets and towels really didn’t smell fresh. We had a very stinky drawer in the room where glasses were kept - not great.

- Service is not 5 star and really needs improvement. Not everyone is so welcoming, language was a huge barrier - even while trying to speak either French or English. I appreciate creole is the local language but while working at a resort with international clientele, it’s unexpectedly hard to communicate sometimes. I can see a lot of the staff are very young and could benefit from proper training and management. Service is far too slow and some staff members are rude.

- The Buffett dinner was bad - cold food that was generally not very tasty. We only ate there once.

- Adults only area really needs some love. It’s a little too quiet and feels totally forgotten about. It’s a shame the rum bar is only open for tasting because it’s in an ideal location and the hotel’s instagram stories make it seem like it’s open for drinks all the time! Quite misleading.

- The creole smokehouse was never open for dinner despite stating that it is - also a disappointment.

- One concierge member recommended going to Nando’s in Grand Baei for dinner - for a hotel of this star rating, I found that ridiculous. The same person also messed up a tour we booked via the hotel to Isle aux Cerfs, which they did make up for by giving us a free dinner, but it was a real disappointment to waste a whole day of our holiday on a tour that was truly terrible. Apparently we ended up with the wrong tour operator and he tried to blame it on the taxi driver who dropped us off. Really not good enough. Everything should have been explained and organised properly. We ended up on a packed boat with terrible food and only spent one hour on an island which took ages to get to. Recommend booking private tours without the assistance of the hotel, which is not great for a supposed 5 star resort.

- booking taxis via the hotel is insanely priced. Talking London prices. Hotel clearly marks up the cost by a huge margin and customers have to pay for that.

- I agree with some of the other reviews that the beach is murky, but found this to be the case in other parts of the island too. So not sure it’s specific to this hotel!

- Overall it is a lovely hotel and we had a great time but these are important details that make a difference and would put me off staying again. I would definitely say this is not a 5 star hotel - more like a 4 star or perhaps slightly less.

To be completely transparent, our stay at the LUX Grand Gaube did not start off smoothly. The person checking us in failed to schedule our honeymoon activities for us and did not explain the resort to us at all. We were left in the dark until we bumped into other honeymooners at the resort the next day who filled us in.

We found ourselves playing catch up with all the activities and spending far too much time in the lobby talking to staff to get things sorted when all we wanted to do was begin our honeymoon.

We were obviously frustrated, but I'm giving the resort a 5 stars for the outstanding customer service and how they fixed and made up for the inconveniences we experienced. Hannah helped get our activities scheduled and Ricardo and Joenathan provided us with support for the remainder of our stay. Ricardo frequently checked in with us to listen, ensure things were okay, and always made sure that our meals were special. Joenathan stepped in to make sure the remainder of our stay went seamlessly - which it absolutely did. The waiters and the entire resort staff really go above and beyond, even set up a beautiful beach dinner for us one evening. They put in the effort to make sure you're comfortable and relaxed.

Special shout out to Mario who was such a treat to sit in his art studio with and listen to his jokes and stories. It felt like we were visiting family the way he makes you feel at home. Mario even took us on a nature walk around the resort.

We've stayed at many resorts before and although at the beginning I thought this hotel wasn't as "luxurious" as others we've stayed at before, we were proved wrong by the end. From the service to the food to the amenities and to the spa, this place is far from any other standard resort experience and I highly recommend it. My only feedback would be to make sure the check-in process goes more smoothly. I've read other reviews of honeymooners not knowing there were things they should've taken advantage of.

Lux* Grand Gaube always a home for us. We had breakfast at the Palm Court, the Chefs and the waiters are all nice. Lunch at the beach rouge is always excellent. Had a frito misto which is a combo of calamari and crispy fish. Which is my favourite.
Chef David Team are the best on the Island.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautifully designed hotel and it was a great experience! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and stylish! Loved it! The staff's friendly and helpful, the rooms are cozy and clean. There was a lot of fantastic food! The buffet selection was wonderful. Special thanks to Nooranee from the fish station!!! Also the turkish restaurant BODRUM Blue was absolutely outstanding! Thank you so much chef Bilal for making us soooo happy! We will be back!!!

Service en chambre assuré par Vimi, qui a fait un travail parfait et nous a fait de beaux animaux en serviette tous les jours.
Infrastructure un peu vieillissante et pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles.
Pour la restauration, personnel sympa qui se donne de la peine mais la cuisine n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles.

What a beautiful resort! We really enjoyed our stay. Our junior suite was spacious with lovely garden and ocean views. The closet space is amazing!
Cafe LUX* is very special experience. The gym, Padel courts, and water sports are world class with a great array of restaurants. My only complaint is housekeeping - our room was only serviced after 3pm everyday!

Unfortunately, my experience at the hotel was far from satisfactory, and I feel that it is important to share my feedback. To start with, the staff at the hotel were extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. They were not welcoming, and it felt like they were doing me a favor by serving me. checkin delayed after 2 Furthermore, the room I was assigned was not clean. and the staff wasn’t welcome and even racist against the Arab nation. The sea activities was overbooked and some of them was stopped. They didn’t taking me in tour around the hotel even When i asked of in advance. I would not recommend it to anyone. I hope that the management takes note of my feedback and takes steps to improve the quality of service offered to its customers. Lastly it doesn’t consider to be a 5 start at all !! التجربة كانت جداً سيئة، المنتجع يزعم انه خمس نجوم وللأسف لايمكن تصنيفه حتى 4 نجوم، أبواب الخزائن غير نظيف والمغاسل ، ويتضح انهم لا يستخدمون التنظيف العميق بين النزلاء ، علاوة على ذلك كان فيه تأخير بتسليم الغرف ولم نستلمها الا 3 مع العلم اننا متواجدين من الساعه 11 ونصف . طاقم العمل غير مرحب و عنصري ضد الشعب العربي ! معظم الانشطة البحرية ممتلئة او موقفة كذلك . لم يتم اخذنا بجولة على المنتجع رغم طلبنا لها قبل الوصول ، ختاماً يوجود منتجعات اخرى بنفس السعر وعالمية ولا انصح بالسكن في هذا المنتجع اطلاقاً !
