Apt spacious and well-planned. It worked well for us. Short walk to beaches.
Room had everything we needed and great pressure from the shower. We got a couple of extra pillows and slept fine. Beds were firm, but the sheets were clean. Cleaners came every 2 days and did a great job.
Lovely balcony to sit on too.
Location wise - good beach bars nearby and lots to see with tours or with a hire car (we did the car and found it easy to get around)
The restaurant was very basic and expensive. Our self catering equipment was so limited and made life very difficult. Not even a can operner Nothing to do, a couple of restaurants locally.
The hotel bar was always packed with smokers and the hotel didn't offer alternative place for a drink or to eat.
Air con 7 euros a night. Staff hard Woking and lovely.
This is not your normal TUI holiday. No rep no information ...
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The furnishings were basic but comfortable.
The kitchenette had a sink, a small fridge, a kettle, and a two ring hotplate. The cupboards were stocked with cutlery, crocklery, and pots and pans. There was also a small dining table.
There were two twin beds side by side which were very comfortable. The bathroom had an over the bath shower, and there always seemed to be plenty of hot water.
There was a remote control TV attached to the wall and a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawer space.
My balcony was a little disappointing as it was very small and offered no view other than the neighbours back garden. There was a clothes horse on the balcony, which, when erected, took up 1/2 the space. Other rooms did seem to have bigger balconies though.
The maid service came every second day and the rooms were left spotless. If you met one of the cleaning staff on the corridors they were always really cheerful and friendly, inkeeping with the whole complex.
The pool area was clean and quite peaceful. There always seemed to be enough sun loungers for everyone. There was a childs pool, which was about 10" deep, and was separated from the main pool by a railing. The main pool was the same depth throughout, which I'd estimate was about 5 ft. The pool was always spotlessly clean.
There was no pool bar as such, but there was a bar area that was never stocked or staffed and seemed to be used as a depository for unwanted 1/2 bottles of sun lotion, should anyone need them.
The bar and restaurant attached to the apartment complex are excellent and run by the same family that runs the apartments. All the staff are really friendly and helpful and you are made to feel really welcome.
I ate in the restaurant several times during my stay, sampling breakfasts, lunches and dinners and was never disappointed. Quite a lot of people came to use the restaurant that were not guests in the complex as it seems to have a well deserved great reputation.
There are a couple of decent sized supermarkets within 5-10 minute of the apartments, and if you are looking to eat out, there are several really good tavernas serving traditional Greek dishes at very reasonable prices just a short walk away.
The beach is less than a 10 minute walk away. I found the quickest route was to head to the right out of the apartments and then cut through the grounds of the Hotel Themis. The beach has a snack bar and plenty of beds and umbrellas
The apartments are really handy for public transport and there's a bus stop 2 minutes walk away where there's a regular bus to Heraklion for around €2.00
I really enjoyed my stay and have already booked for the same time next year, but for longer.
The staff are all lovely, George is extremely welcoming and accommodating. No ask is too much for them.
All the other guests at the time we visited were also lovely so I can say it attracts the right people. I really hope to visit again one day.
