Check-in and the room itself if great, the breakfast options are a bit limited and might not be up to each individual's preferences, especially for the cost. Be wary that some staff might not speak Hungarian as they are employing some trainees from abroad on occasion.

A great stay at the Astoria. Brilliant location for literally everything. Most major parts of town within a 10 minute walk. Right beside metro for all other areas.
Had a renovated room which was very good indeed. Huge king size bed which was very comfortable. Fantastic shower that you didn’t want to leave.
The only negative is the road noise…..if you require quiet to sleep this definitely isn’t the hotel for you. Traffic noise and noise of people talking echos up the buildings and straight into your room. Bear in mind this is a hugely central hotel so noise is 24/7. Double gazed windows dull the noise but definitely not completely….some may not be bothered by this…others will hate it.
A very quaint hotel in general.

Brilliant location. The hotel rooms are a good size, with a small fridge in.
The hotel itself looks a little dated, but everything worked and the service was good. A kettle in the room would have been nice.

Excellent location. All tourist-spots are accessible with M2 Metro. Metro spot right in front of the hotel.

Breakfast: No good options for Vegetarians.

Rooms: Not ventilated. Very dry air which I found little bit discomforting.

Fatal, no saben o no quieren hacer la cama, te la encuentras como la dejaste prácticamente. La habitación con telarañas, llamé a recepción para que estiraran un poco las sábanas, etc. etc.

Es un hotel situado estratégicamente, al lado de la parada de metro, literal, y muy céntrico como para poder ir andando a todos lados. Es un hotel que está bien, pero quizás es un poco antiguo, y las habitaciones necesitarían modernizarse un poco. Es limpio, pero tiene desconchados en maderas, baños, etc. El desayuno buffet es normal, justito, pero no hay queja. El servicio, al igual que en otros muchos lugares de Hungría, un poco tosco, pero sin queja.

La ubicación es muy buena ya que se encuentra muy cerca del centro histórico. La habitación bastante amplia y el desayuno completo.
La única queja fue la limpieza de habitaciones que deja un poco que desear (las camas no las hacían bien, la papelera no la cambiaron....)

Great location - right on top of a metro station, with plenty of trams and busses around. Close to shops and a lot of food options. We stayed in the older part of the hotel. The room was fine - spacious, good shower. A bit noisy from the traffic, but not too bad. I wished there was a coffee machine.

The hotel is simply beautiful. I love the nostalgic feel, the old-fashioned waiters and it's incredibly central. Yes, it is actually terribly loud at this intersection, but the whole ambience and a piano player on International Women's Day, plus traditional cocktails, made the stay unforgettable. The young women at the breakfast buffet were the friendliest! I hope the people of Hungary will soon elect a better government! The people are genuinely nice and very correct. They should have a happy life with equal rights for everyone!

bellissimo hotel in stile ottocentesco. il personale è molto professionale, cortese e gentile. le camere ampie, confortevoli e pulite. Posizione centralissima con fermata di metro a pochi passi ed anche autobus e collegamenti vari come aeroporto. ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Torneremo.

Rooms are okay but very hot. Despite asking, hotel didn't turn on air-conditioning. Windows do open but road noise is exceedingly loud through out the night with sirens an ongoing challenge. WiFi is very good and free. Breakfast reasonable but not outstanding.

Comfortable bed, great shower, good soundproofing, helpful (but not obtrusive) staff. Very handy to metro and restaurants. Good wifi.

Spent a night here to catch a very early flight from the airport, as the airport shuttle stops just outside the hotel ( not anymore in the mornings, so had to walk a bit, but that’s fine)
The hotel is very dated, although got a section that has been modernised luckily that’s where I got my room. It’s nicely done, however they don’t clean/maintain it thoroughly. You can see in the bathroom that the rubber seals and tiles were worn by limescale and products in general, and this wear and tear is not in line with the obvious and well done refurb.
The reception staff has zero manners. Both check-in and check-out personnel were mumbling and miserable.
It’s cheap, i guess it’s okay, but I’ll look for a different hotel for my next stay!

The location is excellent with the airport bus dropping you pretty much at the door.
Staff were all great and were helpful. We requested a late checkout and it wasn't a problem. The hotel is classical beautiful and the restaurant is very good with reasonable prices.
Beds were very comfortable which I normally struggle with in hotels.
Rooms were lovely in the upgraded part but were a little noisy with being so central.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone

Si vous n'avez pas les moyens d'aller à l'hôtel, passez quand même dans le restaurant avec un charme suranné et des prix correctes.

l'hôtel fait du surbooking et a déplacé de nombreuses personnes ayant réservé en novembre pour un mariage qui a eu lieu en mai. Les personnes ont été déplacées sur l'Erzébeth qui a lui même déplacé ses réservations... Nous n'avons été prévenus qu'une fois sur place!
