ALGARVE SURF CAMP

Well, I don't know, where to start. It was just great with those guys ❤
Sid has an open ear for the guests, taking care of everyones needs, looking for adjustments wherever/whenever possible: appreciate it so much, vegetarian/vegan options at breakfast, family dinner and BBQ weren't only salads but real alternatives to meat etc.! Really gonna miss the breakfast with changing specials, a little surprise every morning :)

Alex, the most passionate, heartfull, warm and committed surf teacher you can imagine! Got essentiall tipps and advices from her, I haven't heard about from others before. Together with her comes Splinter, open-hearted, welcoming, already spreading the fun and joy of surf live even before the first lesson on the way to the beach. They kept an eye on all of us, helping us with individual feedback to do better wave by wave, day by day. If you are not into surfing after a week with Alex and Splinter, it will probably just not gonna happen.

There is this wonderful familiar atmosphere at the hostel, thanks to Caro, Hester, Minna and Darcy. Together with Sid and Alex they made me feel like visiting friends abroad in their big house as a guest rather than staying at a hostel. I felt welcome since the very first moment, enjoyed their cooking and baking skills, had lots of fun spending time with them during planned activities or when there was some time to hang out a little, always felt comfortable around them :) Whenever you needed something, there was someone there for you. Thank you so much!

And if you feel like taking some time for yourself, this is possible here as well. You can surely find a quite place somewhere in this cozy location or you can go for a little walk and enjoy the sun and peacefullness of Sagres.

I am so grateful for the time with all of you! Gonna come back next year in April and then for more than a single week, can't wait! Wish you all the best ❤

Excellent séjour dans cette surfhouse, climat accueillant et bienveillant du staff, propreté irréprochable, lits confortables et pratiques (rideaux, prise électrique, lumière dans chaque lit), le dortoir féminin a même sa salle de bain privée! J'ai rarement autant aimé un séjour en auberge et en surfcamp, qui fait pensé à une semaine UCPA mais avec une super ambiance internationale, respectueuse des envies et vacances de chacun: des surfeurs, des randonneurs ou des voyageurs de passage se retrouvent dans une ambiance conviviale créé par l'hôtel, sans susciter d'obligation. Des cours de yoga gratuits sont également proposés. Les petits déjeuners et les repas organisés par l'hôtel sont en plus excellents, avec produits de qualité. Allez-y les yeux fermés!

I want to thank the whole team for an amazing time in Sagres. The hostel was not only very cozy, clean and welcoming, it was also managed by a passionate team. The manager, Sid, was very helpful. He was very insightful regarding the surfing lessons and the organization. Special notice for the free and DELICIOUS breakfast that we had every morning. And last but not least, I want to thank Alex, one of the surf instructeurs. She was amazingly passionate, caring and good at her job. I only want to come back in order to get to surf with her again :) Thank you to the whole team and see you again

This hostel is a really special place, full of heartwarming people and fun activities. Thank you especially to the best hostel manager, Sid, who was so nice and well-organised and who helped us a lot in organisind our surf lessons.
Thank you also to the best surf teacher, Alex, who is truly an incredible human being and teacher. She took it upon herself to teach us really important aspects of surfing and to make us feel confident and happy in the water ! Don't wait to book lessons with her :)
All in all, this is the perfect hostel if you want to meet cool people, if you want to chill, it you want to surf, even if you don't want to surf. There was no pressure to take part in the activities, just good vibes and positivity. Also the best included breakfast ! Thank you so much to everyone for making our vacation better in all aspects.

I stayed as part of a large group at Algarve Surf Hostel for a week and I couldn’t recommend it enough!!
Immediately it became home for the week, I felt very welcome and safe as soon as I arrived. The staff and volunteers went above and beyond to accommodate for our needs as well as being super fun and joining in with our activities. The surf lessons were of a very high standard, Miguel is the best instructor I’ve ever had, I feel like he became personally invested in developing my skills and made sure to spend plenty of time with each student as well as giving us freedom to practise. The food was beautiful, every day the volunteers put effort into baking us something new and delicious! The hostel itself was the perfect space for our group. The room in stayed in had cabin-like bunk beds which were very solid and provided a curtain for each bunk. The bathrooms, kitchen and communal areas were lovely and clean. I particularly enjoyed spending time in the outdoor areas - comfy outdoor furniture in a sunny corner of the garden or the sheltered seating areas which served us well during the rain!

Overall a wonderful experience and I would love to return :)
