Top and nice hostel

Excellent endroit où je suis encore, bonne prestation, chambre propre et literie confortable, le personnel est agréable, en fait il y a rien dire de négative sur cet établissement.

noise from outside and neighboring rooms was very clear and disruptive, making it very hard to sleep especially late at night.

Best hostel to stay in while in Montreal.

Clean and simple. The common area is big and welcoming. Staff was friendly and helpful.

- Able to leave luggage at the common area at your own risk after check out.
- Must bring your own lock
- Bring socks. Guests must take shoes off and the floor is a little cold.
- Washroom is clean ♥️
- Location is great. It’s also surrounded by many cafe.
- It’s common when staying at the shared dorm that you find uncontrollable/unpleasant scent (ie, feet smell) from other guests. Not a hostel’s fault.

I recommend this hostel.

The most hostely hostel you will ever see. Very nice vibes and style with colourful common area and kitchen. The employees are very laid back and polite. I stayed in a room with 9 other guests, and it worked fine. They have lockers under the beds, so you only need to bring your own padlock (they even sell them in the reception).
Very priceworthy. My only suggestion would be that they need to oil the hinges on the doors. ???? the whole building hears when a door is opened on the top floor.
Would give 5 stars if it was more accessible for people with disabilities.

Very nice hostel - I highly recommend.
The common area was super cozy and nicely decorated and had games and books - I really enjoyed spending time in it. The kitchen looked well stocked with basics like oil and spices for cooking. The bathrooms and everything else were very clean. The common room is open all night but after a certain time (11 if I remember correctly) you can't cook or have alcohol, so there won't be loud parties going on all night. There were absolutely no issues of people being loud or disruptive in the night when I was there (I wasn't there on a weekend though).
There were just two negative things: the wifi didn't work well (there was other wifi around that we ended up using though), and there often wasn't anyone at the front desk, which was annoying if for example you wanted to check in or ask for a towel.

Da richtige Hotels in Montreal sehr teuer sind, ist eine Auberge eine gute Alternative, wenn man kein Bad im Zimmer braucht. Die Auberge alternativ ist gut organisiert und sauber.

Had a reservation for 5 nights and enjoyed the nights I was there ( ended up staying with a friend some of the nights who happened to be in the city at the same time ). The staff are amazing and friendly and very helpful. My roommates were nice.
Location is awesome.
Will definitely stay again.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars. They cancelled my booking only four days before chrck-in date, saying my card was suspecious (but they had charged me anyway). Later they said they couldnt do anything and that I had to rebook at the current rate, which is way more expensive than my original booking. Avoid these scammers and find a reliable option.

Très bonne expérience en famille pendant 5 nuits en dortoir dans cette auberge, bien située dans le Vieux Montréal.
Le ménage est fait quotidiennement et le personnel a été aux petits soins pour nous.
Je recommande fortement.

My first stay in Montreal and Auberge hostel made it feel like home. If visiting montreal for summer holidays or whatever, this is the best place for you. Location is right in the action. You will get to meet like minded people and I bet you will enjoy your stay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, especially Mathew, Nathan and Greggory. Surely i will find my self back in this hostel anytime.

C'est certain que ce n'est pas nécessairement le 100% confort quand on dort dans un dortoir avec d'autres gens ou personne n'arrive a la même heure pour le coucher..Il est évident également qu'on ne peut comparer l'auberge jeunesse (ou plutot lit dans le dortoir) a ceux d'un hôtel.

Bien que j'ai eu un peu de mal a me retrouver avec le code, on a su tout Bien gérer, vraiment il y a une très bonne ambiance et l'accueil était chaleureux, j'ai quand-même bien aimé ma première expérience dans une auberge jeunesse

Juste une petite suggestion pour ceux qui ne sont peut-être pas accoutumer au niveau du code( vu je l cherchais), pkoi ne pas l'écrire en rouge dans le cOurriel pour que ce soit plus voyant?

Positives
1. Excellent location, in Old Montreal. 10 min walk to the ferry to the track. Great restaurants around the corner.
2. Room and facilities kept clean. A/C in room worked. Towels provided.
3. One of the 3 bathrooms on the floor was quite large and updated. bathrooms were cleaned daily

Areas for improvement
1. There was an odor in the room and especially at the shoe rack- expected but maybe some odor absorbers would help.
2. No hooks for towels in the bathrooms.

Negative
1. Rude and judgy staff. I brought slippers to change from my shoes as recommended in the email from the hostel. One afternoon after returning from the Grand Prix I took off my shoes and put on the slippers and walked to the kitchen area for a glass of water. On my way I was stopped by a staff member sitting at a table with others. She look at my slippers and proceeded to ask me what I was doing. I politely requested to get a glass of water to which she responded “You have a water bottle in your bag, why don’t you just drink that?” Then looked at my feet and said, “You can’t wear shoes in here.” It felt like she was going out of her way to single me out. Maybe I don’t look like a typical hostel person or maybe she was just having a bad day, but the tone she had was completely different than the many wonderful and courteous whom I met throughout the weekend. Other staff seem to look you up and down when you walk in and some guy was pretty grumpy all the time.

Overall we had another great experience in Montreal. We have stayed in various areas of the city and Old Montreal is by far the best area. Without this staff I would probably have rated the hostel 4-4.5

Value for money. Location is perfect to explore old Montreal. Highly recommend this hostel. Excellent service.
