I stayed at the Loft Hotel from 9/2/24 - 11/2/24. The hotel was in a great location.
At check-in we were provided an incorrect address from the front desk staff and drove around for 45 minutes looking for a parking address that didn't exist. Totally a human error.
The bathroom has moldy shower caulking. The windows are falling apart. The furniture is dated.
It is a dog friendly hotel but they charged me extra for a towel I used to dry off my dog and held my entire deposit. There isn't a broom in the room or anything additional to tidy up during your stay.
I'm a responsible person who is well traveled and has worked in the hospitality industry and am in utter shock that the hotel is holding my deposit. I'd think again before I gave them my credit card.

An excellent place to have space and not feel cramped, all you need to have a home away from home LOFT STYLE .....pet friendly......clean ,quiet near most things ....there is underground parking available for a fee...different size rooms depending on size of group. A HIDDEN GEM

It’s completely disappointing because I called in advance that I will be arriving late and I expect the room to be clean and ready but it’s dusty and curtains are falling apart. White curtains appears to be grey already because of dust and obviously it was never changed. Make sure to take pictures because they will charge you with everything and unlike other hotel you have to request 24hours prior for the room to be cleaned. I called prior to arrival but and they expect that we will arrive today but still they did not clean the room.

My review is a concern about security and safety while staying at this property.
The property made an error in giving my room key to another guest while we were sleeping in the room.

We immediately checked out and went to a more reputable hotel. I did not read any of the previous reviews about this hotel until this happened to us. Please be cautious and read the reviews before booking here.

great location, not very good service or rooms.

Book with caution. Their website booking system never works. If you call, they never call you back. Not off to a great start.

Reception staff appear a bit clueless, dressed like they just got out of bed.

Beware of the room bathroom that appear to be an afterthought. moldy, dirty, crooked.

Truthfully the best part of this hotel is the location, right on St-Denis close to the Metro, restaurants and shops. The rooms are large and since I stayed in the summer Air Con is kind of important. The AC unit in the room is not powerful enough to cool the room, which the hotel seems to be aware of as when I walked into my room two fans were going on top of the AC. I blasted the AC at its lowest temp for my whole stay and the room never got cool let alone cold. The room itself is fine, it's an older buliding and you can see the wear and tear despite attempts to try and update the rooms, you really see this in the furniture: the bed was lumpy, the vinyl furniture was peeling, and the couch was saggy. The room was clean despite everything.
My stay was just fine but I would not return and I would not recommend staying here.

Loft Hotel means credit card fraud, and promises not kept, and no response to questions. I booked on Loft Hotel website and apparently a related company used my credit card information to make unauthorized charges to my credit card. Promises to resolve the issue are not kept and now no responses to my calls and emails. Not recommended.

On a réservé cet hotel pour 4 nuits et cela malgré les avis mitigés sur le website et nous avons eu tort. En effet l'hotel ne valait pad le prix qu'on a payé. Il y aurait beaucoup à dire sur son état mais pour résumé : la chambre 201 est décrépit la peinture est écaillée au plafond, le sol s'enfonce par endroit caché par 2 tapis d'une couleur indéfini. Les meubles sont d'un autre temps, les rideaux ont des tâches rouges suspectes et la salle de bain est juste pas possible avec les 2 rideaux. L'air de la pièce est polluée avec la poussiére. Et pour couronner le tout l'ascenseur était en panne.
Le seul point positif reste l'emplacement.

We stayed at the Loft Hotel during the GP weekend. My review is based on the room priced extremely high. The hotel is in a great location, has a parking garage ($25 extra per day), and the design in the lobby is certainly interesting. The personnel are friendly, but seemingly work alone.

Communication with the hotel happened mostly by text, and it was sporadic at with replies. Our room in the 6th floor was large, but extremely sparsely furnished. Most of the space was empty and you needed binoculars to see the TV from the sofa. Our room had “city views”, which means a street and the building on the other side.

It rained a bit the first night and there was some water leaking in near the entrance. It continued raining throughout the next day, and now water was leaking into every area of the room, including the bedroom. We put pots and pans from the kitchen under every leak. Water was leaking into the corridor as well, both to bucket placed there and several places around it.

We asked for another room, which we got from the lobby floor. This didn’t leak, but had evidence of prior water damage on the wood floor, and moldy seams between the bathroom tiles. The mattress was lumpy too, but wasn’t sagging like the prior one.

I read a lot of earlier reviews after our stay and there are reports of leaks from earlier. They knew our room would have leaks and about rain being forecast and gave us the room anyway.

This hotel is a scam. Avoid at any cost.

This is my very first time writing a review about any place, and it's because I'm so frustrated with my experience at this hotel. I am further corroborating reviews that have been written about this hotel and would not recommend staying here.

I stayed here the last weekend of May '23 to celebrate my birthday and the stay has left a bad memory of the trip. While the rooms are spacious and generally clean, the staff and management are non-responsive and pretty much useless, and the rooms need updating. More specifically, there are two significant issues I've been chasing with the hotel, and despite multiple calls and emails, no one has gotten back to me after several weeks. First, they put someone in my party in a room they knew did not have a functioning air conditioning. When my friends surfaced the issue, they were moved into a much smaller room, but did not complain. We have been trying to get a refund for the difference in the room sizes, but no one has responded. Second, I left some expensive items behind in my room and requested that the hotel ship them back to me at my own expense. When I talked to the front desk, their response was they didn't know if they could do that (which is insane on its own), and that I needed to talk to the manager. I have emailed and called, and again no response. I'm on the verge of reporting the hotel to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs and potentially the authorities for theft, if they do not return my belongings.

Separately, there are no cleaning services on the weekends, and sometimes you have to request that your room actually be cleaned during the week. The front desk often has no one available when you're there to provide recommendations, address room issues, or even get fresh towels.

This place had so much promise when we reviewed it on the website, but I would not recommend it. What a disappointment

il y a des endroits qu'on n'oublie jamais et il y a des endroits qu'il faut oublier Loft Hôtel est un endroit qu il faut oublier ... si vous avez le choix adresse à éviter .

I don't know when the photos of the website were taken but this is not the Loft Hotel Montreal that is there today. I have never EVER seen a hotel that needed more updating and cleaning than this one. It is dirty, the curtains were probably white when installed years ago but they are so filthy that I didn't want to touch them. The carpet in living room is so stained and dirty. I truly believe that this hotel needs to be inspected and I am pretty sure that if it were inspected, it would be closed down for sanitary reasons. This does sound harsh but believe me, it's all true and I have pictures to prove.

Very bad management, charged our client for a 4-night stay instead of the 2 nights she was actually there and originally had booked(And she has proof she only stayed there 2 nights based on check in and check out dates). Refused to resolve the situation and is blaming her, completely embarrassing customer service, do not stay here as they seem to be okay with committing FRAUD!
ON TOP OF IT THE OWNERS REPLY IS ALSO A LIE, I SPOKE TO HER AND THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT WHAT HAPPENED. HER CREDIT CARD WAS GIVEN FOR INCIDENTALS ONLY AND YOUR STAFF LIED TO HER AND CONFIRMED SHE WOULD NOT BE CHARGED, HER RESERVATION WAS FOR 2 NIGHTS ONLY AND SHE CONFIRMED THAT AT CHECK IN, SHE HAS PROOF OF HER FLIGHTS SO NO, SHE DID NOT "DECIDE' TO LEAVE EARLY. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS, AND THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED FOR HER BASED ON HER CHECK OUT DATE/FLIGHT. NOT SATISFYING YOUR CUSTOMER SHOWS BAD FAITH ON YOUR PART SO YES THIS REVIEW AND MY WORDS ARE ACCURATE.
