Such a diverse vegan&raw menu. Every dish we had was insanely delicious, we did enjoy the each bite! Peaceful atmosphere and very kind staff ???? We got to learn about Balienese culture from our friend Wardi, it was such a nice experience overall.

I recently visited Moksa after a few friends insisted I try this restaurant if I was ever in Ubud. My husband and I are vegetarian, so we were really excited to try a clean, fully vegan restaurant.

The restaurant is a little out of the way, but worth the extra time and effort. First glance at the menu, I will say it was a bit long and while there are so many options, it is a bit overwhelming.

Being that we were only going to be able to eat here once, we decided to go big and sample a large portion of their menu. Below I will list everything we tried and my thoughts:

Sushi Maki: I was not a fan of the sushi. While the presentation looked great, I was not a big fan of the jicama rice. It had a weird texture and taste (for reference, I do like jicama).

Herbed Cheese Ravioli: Another must try! This dish was my favorite! Absolutely delicious and you’d never know it was vegan!

Smashed avocado bruschetta: Had nice fresh tomatoes and a delicious pesto, however I was missing a crunch in the bread. The coconut bread was too chewy and one note with the avocado in my opinion.

Moksa Dhal: This is a must try!! This was my husbands favorite dish. Wonderful flavor, not salty, and craveable.

Moksa Sampler: I really enjoyed the mini lasagna and mini pizza, however I did not enjoy the other two items on the plate.

Ubud Souvlaki: I was not a fan, too chewy and hard to eat.

Tempeh ribs: These were okay, but didn’t wow me.

Coconut nice cream: I wasn’t getting much coconut flavor, I actually was tasting bubblegum which was odd. Not bad, but not what I was expecting.

Iced maca cappuccino: I enjoyed this drink, great flavor!

Overall, we had a great lunch sampling all the dishes. The presentation was nice on every dish and the service was great. My only recommendation is to reduce the menu and really hone in on perfecting the dishes. I absolutely love that they use fresh ingredients, many that are grown on the property. While my review may seem harsh, please note all the dishes were good, not great. Which is why I think they should limit the menu and deliver perfection on each dish.

В целом неплохо, брал Moksa sample, попросил без соли, но забыл без перца попросить, было 2 острых семплера. Десерт Mango passion fruit cheesecake все вытянул, очень хорош. Остальные десерты просто нормальные.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Ubud. I came here 6 years ago and loved it; was delighted to find out today that it is still as good!! I had the ‘chefs bowl’ which was a mix of delicious curries with rice. Every aspect of the meal was well thought through, beautifully prepared; well presented. I’m feeling pleased I remembered to come this time with some days left of my trip so I can come back again!

Учитывая, что Мокса это веганское индонезийское кафе с владельцами балийцами во главе с шефом Мадэ, повара здесь умеют готовить! Да, возможно не все блюда очень вкусные, но определенно лучше, чем в других веганских заведениях. А я был во всех на Бали.
Очень редко я встречал правильно обжаренный тофу, в основном его высушивают в резину.???? Они готовят насыщенные умами бульоны и соусы! Доводят блюда до вкуса! И всё это из локальных продуктов, без химических соусов и глутамата. В общем, рекомендую к посещению!????????

很差的体验,不会再去。
我们一共12人就餐,并提前预约。点了很多的食物,坦白说,食物是很好的。但我们其中一人由于生日的关系,我们外带了一个大的生日蛋糕为她庆祝。就在我们把生日蛋糕拿出来切的时候,经理说不能在餐厅里吃外带的生日蛋糕,因为不确定生日蛋糕是否素食蛋糕。
我能理解不能外带食物和酒水,在我们预定时没有跟我们说明不能外带生日蛋糕,而且moksa的蛋糕都是很小的分量。而最后不提供盘子和刀叉给我们。我们只能每个人用纸巾当盘子,直接手拿蛋糕使用。
从来没有体验过这么差服务的餐厅。

J'ai adoré cet endroit. Les plats sont divins et recherchés, pleins de saveurs. C'était super bon. Une belle découverte. Le restaurant donne sur un très joli potager d'où ils cueillent les légumes pour le restaurant.

맛있었어요. 매일 오고 싶은 맛. 그런데 식당이 야외에 있어서 그런가 다른 테이블 앉은 여자분 발로 흠뻑 젖은 쥐가 ㅜ 발코니에서 올라와서 거의 닿을 것 같은 상황이 발생... ???????? 그럼에도 다시 갈 예정입니다. 나시고렝에 같이 나온 코코넛 튀김이 너무 맛있었어요.

My throat was burned with acid and I couldn’t eat for a week. Because of the soup. My friends the same. Be carefull. Don’t recommend to eat here.

In Bali, where many restaurants serve dishes rich in oils and carbohydrates, this vegan restaurant is like an oasis. It offers an opportunity to rejuvenate your body through food, providing a feeling of revitalization. I never imagined vegan cuisine could be this delicious. The use of fresh, local ingredients not only makes the dishes taste wonderful but also promotes health. If you're visiting Bali, I highly recommend experiencing this restaurant.

I’m certainly no vegan not even close to vegetarian, in day to day life the closest I come is having chips with my steak! However Moksa is one of my all time favourite restaurants. I come here every time I’m in Bali and it’s the only time I ever eat vegetarian. I even did a cooking class once with chef Made. The food is always ingeniously innovative and incredibly tasty high quality produce, organic and much sourced from their own permaculture gardens. If I had my own personal chef who was capable of preparing Moksa’s menu, I could quite happily become full time vegetarian.
