For those who don’t want to read the whole review…bottom line 3/10 DON’T stay here. Not the vacation hotel you want.

Upon first look on booking, hotel Due Gemelli promises a picturesque escape with its beautiful photos of the Mediterranean Sea. As well as a “bed and breakfast vibe” (breakfast is extra??”. However, our experience was far from the idyllic retreat we anticipated for our honeymoon.

We opted for what was described as the “best room in the house,” which turned out to be a top-floor room with a 3 room shared balcony, uncomfortably close to the bustling highway of Cinque Terre. The simplicity of the room was overshadowed by the very noisy highway and lack of privacy. (Also the fact that It was hastily cleaned leaving some concerns about cleanliness)

The staff at Due Gemelli were more than nice, which we genuinely appreciated. Yet, the accommodations themselves left much to be desired. The bed was akin to a slab of stone, leading us to have multiple conversations about if we were actually sleeping on a box spring (I honestly think it was).

Our culinary journey was equally disappointing. The restaurants touted as “within walking distance” on the hotel’s website were either closed or non-existent. Our only nearby dining option was ‘Paradiso del Golfo,’ which, to put it mildly, was a notch below Olive Garden in terms of quality.

Breakfast, served from 7:00-10:00 for 8 euros per person, was a sparse affair. Arriving at 9 am, we were greeted with the remnants of the morning’s offerings: a hard-boiled egg, a slice of pineapple, and a piece of yesterday’s pie. It seems they are not willing to refill the breakfast options but more than happy to charge the breakfast fee on checkout.

Connectivity was another issue, with painfully slow WiFi ( couldn’t load maps or yelp) that eventually ceased to function altogether ( it went out for the whole building). When inquired, the response was a resigned “it is what it is.”

The hotel’s saving grace, and perhaps its lifeline, is the stunning view from the balcony. However, this alone cannot compensate for the hotel’s shortcomings. We ultimately decided to cut our reservation short by TWO days, preferring to forfeit money rather than lose more sleep or pay for lackluster accommodations.

For those considering a stay in this region, I recommend exploring the beautiful Airbnb options available and bypassing hotel Due Gemelli altogether. Let this hotel be a relic of the past, as it seems time has already begun to forget it, as have we..

que les gens qui ce plaignent de l’absence d’ascenseur me disent qu’ils ne vont pas visiter les Cinque Terre .. alors profitez au lieu de vous plaindre

Vue imprenable, chambre très bien entretenue, personnel accueillant et de bon conseil pour les déplacements. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de restauration en soirée, mais un très bon établissement se trouve à 200m de l'hôtel.

Une vue juste magnifique comme on voudrait avoir tous les matins.

Due Gemelli is positioned high and romantically in the hills of Cinque Terra, the Gulf of Poets. Each well-sized and well-appointed room has its own balcony affording beautiful 180° views of the sea, and the Unesco-protected pine and oak forests below. Our room had an ante-room for boots, luggage, dog bowls, etc. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were fresh and delicious, and the parking was great. The shuttle bus runs from just outside the hotel, and Le Spezia is an easy 10-minute drive away with masses of public parking just as you come into town. Staying here was a totally wonderful experience.

Pas de mini bar dans la chambre alors que c'était notifié sur notre location.
Petit déjeuner dans un pot de confiture,il n'y avait plus de tasse pour le thé et5cc de gel douche pour trois jours.

Posizione ottima per gli spostamenti, parcheggio gratuito, colazione abbondante. Nonostante questo la permanenza rimane spiacevole. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti, di cui una passata in un appartamentino completamente impregnato di fumo in cui l’aria era irrespirabile. Il giorno dopo il gestore ci ha spostati in un’altra stanza (avendo fatto presente l’impossibilità di dormire in quelle condizioni) senza scusarsi per il disagio creato, senza scomporsi, come se fosse la normalità!
Zero attenzione e interesse.
Purtroppo non basta togliere il costo del check-out posticipato dal conto per dire di aver avuto cura del cliente.

Ho fatto solo la colazione, ma cortesia immensa e cibo buono. Prezzo ottimo. Vista meravigliosa.

Hotel avec une vue imprenable. Très bien positionné. La chambre manque d'entretien, des araignées au plafond et l'état de la douche peut être amélioré. L'isolation phonique est inexistante.
L'hotel est quelque peu vieillissant.
Le personnel est très sympathique et de bons conseils.

2 chambres réservées ! La pire expérience d'hôtel ! Une nuit à se battre contre toutes sortes d'insectes qui vous rampes dessus ou qui vous bourdonne aux oreilles ! Un enfer ! Lors du départ nous en faisons part et la réponse : "c'est normal c'est la nature ! Ca vous fera xxx euros ! Vous payez par carte ?... " Passez votre chemin !

2 camere prenotate ! La peggiore esperienza d'albergo! Una notte a combattere contro tutti i tipi di insetti che ti strisciano addosso o che ti ronzano le orecchie! Un inferno! Alla partenza ne facciamo parte e la risposta: "è normale è la natura! Questo vi farà xxx euro! Si paga con carta di credito ?... "

L’unica cosa che andrebbe assolutamente cambiato sono le porte le finestre di questo hotel .
A ogni modo ho passato una vacanza meravigliosa con mia figlia e tornerei volentieri ancora .

Une vue incroyable !!! Personnel sympathique et accueillant, petits déjeuners sur une terrasse avec vue à couper le souffle. Nous logions au dernier étage dans une chambre spacieuse et propre avec une terrasse encore plus belle !!!

Punti a sfavore: la posizione un po’ fuori dai punti di interesse (sia La Spezia che Riomaggiore) però è possibile spostarsi con l’autobus

Nice small hotel, with great view on sea.
The host is great, he helped us with the transport to Cinque Terre.
In front of hotel there is a bus station for cinque terre which is onky 15 min drive.
They have breakfast which you have to pay extra.
If you are coming with the car there is a parking space which we dound really helpful considering it is hard to get a parking space in cinque terre.

Arrivée dans un hôtel vide, aucun personnel n’était présent à la réception. Pas d’ascenseur. Nous n’avons jamais vu un hôtel aussi peu attrayant. Dans la chambre il y avait à multiples reprise des insectes hors nous avions pris le soin de garder les fenêtres fermées par peur d’être piqué par les moustiques. Des poils et des cheveux ont été retrouvés dans la douche, autour du lavabo etc… De plus, la chambre ne comportait pas de frigo alors qu’avec une chaleur pareil, garder nos boissons fraîches est une nécessité !
En bref, hôtel fantôme, insectes, ménage approximatif, a fuir !
C’est HONTEUX pour un hôtel soit disant 3 étoiles !

Amazing place with an incredible view. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are functional and there's a nearby restaurant. It was perfect. Highly recommend.

Очень красивое место. Приветливый персонал. Завтрак был очень достаточным, продукты свежие. Кому хочется большего разнообразия нужно ехать в Турцию. Нам понравилось. К морю идёт чудесная тропа. Она для людей физически подготовленных, но для тех кто дойдет,в награду прозрачнейшая чистейшая вода, скалы. Это фантастика!

Solo tiene buenas vistas. Lo demás horrible.. aclaro q no tiene ascensor y la habitación era 3 pisos hacia abajo, ducha y habitación malísima.
