We stayed in this hotel for a family holiday and did not get off to a great start as they could not seem to find our reservation on their system, partly due to having our names wrong. When they did find us on the system, we were all on different floors despite a request to all be together and the rooms were quite different despite all booking the same type of room. Having said this when we raised this they managed to change one room on the day (partly due to a puddle under the bed) and put 2 of the party on the same floor and also change our room the following day to give us a sea view (free upgrade on both). The rooms were a reasonable size but were very basic with very little storage just a hanging rail and a couple of shelves, did not find this very homely. The service from the staff was very good and the cleanliness of the rooms was very good. A decent 3 star hotel but would struggle to call it a 4 star.

Great location. Amazing breakfast. Great breakfast staff. Poor service dealing with an issue with the extractor in the bathroom. Felt I was fobbed off by multiple reception staff, and it was never fixed from day 1 to day 4. Had to open the bedroom window and wait for steam to go before using the bathroom mirror. OK if you're on a budget. I thought it was telling we were NOT asked how our stay was. They have good lockers to store luggage pre check-in and post checkout

We had a fantastic stay!! The rooms are small, but sufficient. The shower was teeny tiny too, but did its job. We heard bad things about breakfast in Iceland, but the breakfast was great and came with a view! We were fortunate enough to have an early check-in. It is ideally located. We mostly walked everywhere in Reykjavik. Pick-ups for tours is usually a short 2-minute walk. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. There is also a small spa with a sauna, and shower. The gym only has an exercise ball and some free weights.

A superb hotel with great staff in a fantastic location in central Reykjavík. Lovely room, clean, with a comfortable bed and walk in shower. Staff are lovely. There is a wonderful spa in the basement of the hotel. Breakfast is fantastic. Make sure you fill up before you go out. The breakfast caters for all tastes and types. Hot and cold food is on offer. Being close to the bay and central Reykjavík is a massive plus. Close to the local bus stop pick up points for most tours. Highly recommend.

Hello everyone,
I visited this hotel during the first week of March 2024, and I must say the location was perfect! However, I was disappointed by the size and comfort level of the hotel room. The bed mattress was too soft and uncomfortable, leading me to request a room change twice at the reception. Unfortunately, the next room was also equipped with a similar mattress!!!

The staff are incredibly helpful and always try to help with any request and we could not fault them at all!

Spent 3 nights here and the location is superb... opposite a bus stop (number 5), we had a waterside view suite and it provided stunning views of the mountains across the water.

Whilst the rooms could be in need of a new lick of paint - the rooms are warm, comfortable and for a three star hotel as expected.

Breakfast was fantastic, laid back and served in the roof top bar... even though it gets busy there is always plenty and the staff do a brilliant job of cleaning tables fast and efficiently.

Like all of Iceland its not cheap to eat or drink however this is comparable to other hotels.

The outside of the building does look a little like a throwback to the 60s and pebbledash.... however it's a great hotel - recommended!

Fantastic location on the waterfront and close to all amenities....20 minutes walk to the main bus station for airport transfers.

Nice buffet breakfast at the 8th floor bar (Sky Bar).

Comfortable rooms with everything you need.

Highly recommended!

Good location with easy access to city centre, rooms was not too bad but odd having wet room as shower! No ventilation in toilet! Very noisy hotel with construction running beside it! Cleaners are leaving there kits every day in 1 St floor which we where there!! Not convenient! The saune also charged £20 per person but quality 0!

Smallest hotel room I have stayed in.
Tv doesn't work ,complained first night still not fixed ,not a big issue but we booked a family room and they fitted 3 single beds in it no room to walk round did complain and they said it is a big room.
We don't leave for another 5 nights .
If I come to Iceland again would avoid center hotels great locations and good food and service but room too tiny

If you look from the outside it doesn't look very good, the same happens when you enter the reception, which looks a bit dusty. Some rooms have a spectacular view of the ocean and the mountain, others of the backyard. There are also rooms in the basement that do not have a very happy view. The room has underfloor heating, the bed and pillow are very comfortable, it is very clean. The trash is taken out daily and the room is tidied up. The towels are impeccable. The bathroom has shower gel, hair conditioner, liquid soap, body lotion, hair dryer, makeup mirror.
The room has a mini fridge, a desk, a kettle, coffee, tea, a mobile luggage rack, shelves, hangers, iron and ironing board. There are enough outlets and USB sockets. The hotel is very close to the commercial streets and the bus station or the transfer minibuses. On the top floor is a superb bar, with acceptable prices and a fantastic view, where they serve a tasty, with different types of food for all tastes breakfast.
