Nie lubię pisać o złych doświadczeniach kulinarnych. Liczyliśmy na podróż kulinarną niestety nie było udane. Obsługa była miła ale mało wiedziała o podawanych posiłkach. Nie potrafiła przedstawić zamysłu szefa kuchni. Wine parring totalnie nie pasował do podawanych dań. Wina były przeciętne. Naprawdę bardzo szkoda bo liczyliśmy na dobra kolację. Na koniec kolacji osobiście rozmawialiśmy z szefem kuchni i przekazaliśmy nasze uwagi.

Great food an an interesting concept. Staff really friendly and helpful. Essentially it’s a surprise menu, so they bring you a dish, leave you to taste and then tell you what it was. Makes you really appreciate the flavours (even if you get it wrong!). Pairing wine menu also really good. Great evening. Highly recommended.

O restaurante perfeito! Atendimento excelente e muito cuidadoso. A comida é confeccionada de uma forma inagualável, pelo Chef Bruno de Jesus que é também uma pessoa impecável. O conceito do elemento surpresa é inovador e adorámos. Mal posso esperar pela próxima visita. Muito obrigada pela noite excelente que passamos na vossa companhia!

Al entrar al restaurante, me cautivó la atmósfera elegante y moderna, perfectamente complementada por la música ambiental cuidadosamente seleccionada. Un espacio que consideré ideal para una velada memorable.

La calidad de la comida fue sublime. Los ingredientes frescos y de temporada se combinan a la perfección con la creatividad y el talento del chef, platos deliciosos y únicos que sorprenden al paladar. Cada bocado fue una explosión de sabores y texturas, una experiencia sensorial que invita a descubrir nuevas combinaciones y disfrutar de la esencia de la gastronomía.

El servicio fue también impecable. El equipo, altamente profesional y atento, se encargó de que cada detalle fuese perfecto. Mención especial merece la atención de la camarera, quien nos brindó una cálida y personalizada atención, haciéndonos sentir como en casa.

Tuvimos el honor de conocer al chef al final de la cena, quien con gran amabilidad conversó con nosotros sobre su pasión por la cocina y su dedicación al detalle. Su entusiasmo y compromiso se reflejan en cada plato, confirmando que la experiencia fue más allá de una simple cena.

En definitiva, nos ofrecieron una experiencia culinaria completa e inolvidable. La calidad de la comida, la calidez del ambiente, la profesionalidad del servicio y la pasión del chef lo convierten en un lugar ideal para celebrar ocasiones especiales o simplemente disfrutar de una velada deliciosa. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante a cualquier persona que busque una experiencia gastronómica de alto nivel.

This place is something special. Found it online and was intrigued by the secret menu and luckily able to snag a reservation. We had an incredible dining experience, the food was outstanding as were all the wine pairings (highly recommend). The chef is clearly passionate about the dishes he creates (on a daily basis, no less!), every element on each plate was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. Also, it felt like a great value! 50 euro per person for the meal, 25 euro per person for the wine pairing. Absolutely would return again to this gem in Porto.

In diesem kleinen, aber feinen Restaurant begeistert die herausragende Kombination der Speisen – ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Die Weinbegleitung harmonierte perfekt. Der legere und äußerst freundliche Service rundete das Gesamterlebnis ab. Definitiv eines meiner besten Restauranterlebnisse aller Zeiten!

We checked this place out because of the surprise menu and were really happy we did. They phoned in the day to check we had no allergies or intolerances, then we received a couple starters and mains, a dessert and a wine pairing. The staff were really friendly, really keen to ensure we were enjoying the meal. The wine pairing was really well put together, some surprises which really "changed" depending on the dish. Love the concept of fine dining at an accessible price.

Absolute best meal we had throughout Porto (or Lisbon and surrounding areas). Incredible value for a fabulous fine dining yet comforting food experience in a elegant new restaurant. Cozy and modern interior with the most friendly and charming staff — even the head Chef Bruno made his rounds to guests and was kind and humble. Each dish surpassed the last. Fish course was our highlight!

Would recommend 10/10 times!

Our experience at Barrica has exceeded our expectations. We opted for the surprise menu and when we got there there was an envelope on the table. I opened it right away, guess I was not supposed to because then we did not get any explanations when the food was being served. Keep this in mind before opening your envelope:)

We'd been in Portugal for 4 weeks and this small restaurant was an excellent find for our last evening. From the moment you arrive at the front door, service is welcoming and superb. The ambience is stunning and the "secret" menu is a lovely idea. We had 5 excellent courses perfectly paired with the wine flight and thoroughly explained. It's not cheap but worth every euro and we would definitely return and recommend

Possibly the nicest dinner I’ve ever eaten. The food and wine is exquisite, the music was brilliant (anywhere that plays Lee Fields is a winner). The staff were really informative and passionate about the food and wine they serve.

Absolutely gorgeous meal from start to finish, each dish was unbelievable and the level of service and value for money was second to none! You MUST eat here if you are in Porto. I would come back to Porto just to eat at Barrica again!

This was our favorite meal in Porto and possibly in all of Portugal. Everything from the staff to the experience of the secret menu to the quality of the food was outstanding. We would consider this a "don't miss" in Porto. The menu changes daily so there's no specific dish I can mention but every part of the dinner was wonderful.

We are so pleased that we found this excellent restaurant! It was our first night in Porto and what a great introduction!

Barrica is in a quiet street and down steps. You then enter into a beautifully presented, smart restaurant. We were greeted very warmly by two very friendly waiters, both who spoke perfect English and who looked after us so well during our meal. Excellent service.

We love the meal concept: a chef's menu is held in an envelope on your table. You can look beforehand or far better, just let them serve you. I love not knowing what I'm going to get next!

Every course was beautifully cooked and presented. We took the wine pairing, which was marvellous and we tasted Portuguese wines we would probably never have chosen.

We couldn't get over the amazing value of this wonderful restaurant. The menu included breads (and accompaniments), amuse bouche, starter, fish course, meat course and dessert course - all of this for €50! The wine pairing was €25. Exceptional value!

Such a special find! We enjoyed the surprise menu at Barrica during a recent visit to Porto. We also chose the matching wines which complimented the food perfectly. The staff are friendly and certainly add to the fabulous experience. I would highly recommend this place!
