Absolute best meal we had throughout Porto (or Lisbon and surrounding areas). Incredible value for a fabulous fine dining yet comforting food experience in a elegant new restaurant. Cozy and modern interior with the most friendly and charming staff — even the head Chef Bruno made his rounds to guests and was kind and humble. Each dish surpassed the last. Fish course was our highlight!

Would recommend 10/10 times!

* 50€ tasting menu included 6 courses. Wine pairing extra 25€ (by the glass also available). Allergens clearly labeled.

Our experience at Barrica has exceeded our expectations. We opted for the surprise menu and when we got there there was an envelope on the table. I opened it right away, guess I was not supposed to because then we did not get any explanations when the food was being served. Keep this in mind before opening your envelope:)
We have been told that the menu changes daily which was very impressive given the flavours and on point wine pairing. We will definitely be back!

We'd been in Portugal for 4 weeks and this small restaurant was an excellent find for our last evening. From the moment you arrive at the front door, service is welcoming and superb. The ambience is stunning and the "secret" menu is a lovely idea. We had 5 excellent courses perfectly paired with the wine flight and thoroughly explained. It's not cheap but worth every euro and we would definitely return and recommend

Possibly the nicest dinner I’ve ever eaten. The food and wine is exquisite, the music was brilliant (anywhere that plays Lee Fields is a winner). The staff were really informative and passionate about the food and wine they serve.

Absolutely gorgeous meal from start to finish, each dish was unbelievable and the level of service and value for money was second to none! You MUST eat here if you are in Porto. I would come back to Porto just to eat at Barrica again!

This was our favorite meal in Porto and possibly in all of Portugal. Everything from the staff to the experience of the secret menu to the quality of the food was outstanding. We would consider this a "don't miss" in Porto. The menu changes daily so there's no specific dish I can mention but every part of the dinner was wonderful.

We are so pleased that we found this excellent restaurant! It was our first night in Porto and what a great introduction!

Barrica is in a quiet street and down steps. You then enter into a beautifully presented, smart restaurant. We were greeted very warmly by two very friendly waiters, both who spoke perfect English and who looked after us so well during our meal. Excellent service.

We love the meal concept: a chef's menu is held in an envelope on your table. You can look beforehand or far better, just let them serve you. I love not knowing what I'm going to get next!

Every course was beautifully cooked and presented. We took the wine pairing, which was marvellous and we tasted Portuguese wines we would probably never have chosen.

We couldn't get over the amazing value of this wonderful restaurant. The menu included breads (and accompaniments), amuse bouche, starter, fish course, meat course and dessert course - all of this for €50! The wine pairing was €25. Exceptional value!

Fabulous food, wine, service and value. Wow! What an introduction to Porto. Thank you Team Barrica!

Such a special find! We enjoyed the surprise menu at Barrica during a recent visit to Porto. We also chose the matching wines which complimented the food perfectly. The staff are friendly and certainly add to the fabulous experience. I would highly recommend this place!
