I sort of wondered if anyone worked there?
On arrival at 15.00 on Friday, the young receptionist seemed confused as our rooms were not ready, but we only had to wait a short time.
We were 3 guests which included 2 elderly ladies one with a walking stick
Parking in the garage under the Hotel was perfect, but when I asked for help with baggage, I was asked why!,
I requested a trolley, and then I asked another young woman if there was a trolley or someone could help, fortunately she seemed to know and helped me
At 17.30, we went to the bar but no one was there, eventually the chef came to serve drinks, by that time we decided to go for a walk.
Dinner was very good, service and menu excellent.
Our 1st morning breakfast, a buffet, was very good but only one young man attending to the room, Only one staff.
Next morning a disaster!, we arrived for breakfast, a large group had been in before , the tables were at mess, none set up and above all, the buffet, nothing left, we felt for the young man, again only one staff, he was trying clean up the tables, along with other guests, we complained to the receptionist offered us the breakfast for free.
The day receptionist, Quentin, was very helpful, but also felt for him having to field off so many complaints.
The night receptionist, Guillaume also was very helpful.
I could not recommend this Hotel at all, It seemed to me the staff had to cope with bad management , not enough staff.

Receptionist guy was not very welcoming and in a hurry, it was the end of his shift, after 5 minutes there was a nice girl with a kind smile.
We had dinner in the city and came back in the hotel for a drink.
A young waiter left the menu and after 25 minutes never came back to ask what we wanted to order.
In the meantime he passed in front and of us 4 times taking out plates from empty tables ignoring us.
There was also a woman passing on front of us 3 times and ignoring us too while she was taking away salt and peppera from the empty restaurant tables (there was just 1 or 2 tables with guest having dessert and coffee)
When I informed the woman that we where there since 25 minutes and they all ignored us she first told us that it was not true as she passed several times and never saw us and then she appointed that she had to serve other clients as the restaurant was full.
This is not acceptable at all from a 4stars hotel. First you take the orders from guests and after you empty tables. Moreover if someone is upset and let you noticed that has been ignored for 25 minutes you never have to reply that you have been busy (while you were not).
While I was reporting to the guy that he gave us menu and then it forget about us, he replied that he doesn't speak English. Unacceptable at all!
Great breakfast today but 2 annoyed guys (one man and one woman) at breakfast reception.
Very kind receptionist today at checkout.
In the end nice building and and hotel but please iproce in human resources with better selection and training
Bel hôtel avec de belles prestations.
Personnellement on aurait apprécié un sauna en plus du hammam mais c'est déjà bien avec la piscine et jacuzzi en extérieur.
Localisation de l'hôtel au top pour visiter le centre ville.

Nel corridoio di fronte alla nostra camera è rimasto un vassoio di qualche colazione per una giornata intera (ok che la gente è maleducata ma basterebbe toglierlo).
L’hotel dispone di un parcheggio a pagamento sotterraneo (essenziale in quanto trovandosi in centro si fatica a trovare parcheggio).
Personale gentile e colazione ottima.

Check-in: Check-in was done by our tour manager, and to me it appeared quick and easy, and the welcome by hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
My Room: My room was spacious but not particularly well appointed. For example, there was no refrigerator in the room, and storage space for clothing for a 5 night stay was very limited. The room had two double beds, which took up extra space at no advantage to a single room user. There was a disused fireplace which also had no benefit other than to provide a mantle top for storage of some items.
The Bed: The bedding comprised of two (2) double beds side by side. They were comfortable, but took up a lot of space.
The Bathroom: The bathroom facilities were adequate.
Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to, providing a reliable connection at a reasonable speed.
Location: This hotel is in a central location, in a restricted location with limited access to motor vehicles. We were in a tour group, so our bus had to drop us off about 500 metres from the hotel and we had to walk to the hotel. It was well positioned for restaurants and supermarkets.
Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was excellent.
Dining: Many of the tour group ate evening meals at the restaurant, and spoke very highly of the quality of the food.
Recommendation: I would not stay at this hotel again due to the limited access by road and the lack of facilities such as in-room refrigerator and limited wardrobe facilities. This is unfortunate, because the hotel has a lot of history, and the staff were fantastic.

The Oceania Le Métropole hotel is one of the rare hotels to have a private car park directly on site, and we regret that access is not very pleasant during this period of roadworks.
