It's a very very busy site, constant noise. Unfortunately the sanitary block only had 5 toilets and a few showers for the large amount of campers. The toilets were broken and didn't flush so there was often poo left there for you to discover. The whole block is old, not cleaned regularly enough and generally dirty. I am disabled and needed to use the disabled bathroom but due to the lack of facilities people were using that and the toilet in there was broken. The shower in there was good and there were grab rails which was appreciated but I often had to wait to use it as the toilet was used by able people and had to shower with the smell present.
There is a general pool for families with slides and another designated adults only, meant to be for quiet relaxation, swimming lengths etc. Unfortunately people were letting their children in there so it was noisy and you couldn't swim properly but as it was constantly happening I felt awkward about telling people so would end up leaving.
We had arranged to meet with friends at the site and I enjoyed meeting up with them, otherwise the stay would've been awful. There's not much around and the roads around aren't safe for children to cycle on, no cycle paths etc. No easily accessible supermarket although they sold a few basics in the campsite shop. Left up to me I wouldn't be returning at all but if my friends want to go next year I'll have to book and hope the sanitary block is sorted by then. It's the most expensive site I am stayed on all summer and by no means worth it. Sort this out, have some supervision by the adult pool and the experience would actually be enjoyable.
