Avis CAMPING GARANGEOIRE Saint-Julien-Des-Landes

Me and my family really enjoyed our two week stay at La Garangeoire in France. The Bar and garden were very nice with some sort of entertainment being held there each evening also including a fun bouncy castle for your little ones. The mini market in the campsite sold all of the basics plus breakfast items for every morning. There is a takeaway shop in this campsite that sells chips, nuggets and lots of different pizzas. Accommodation was nice. Just your standard cabin with 2 - 3 bedrooms, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a decking with a dining table with chairs. There are plenty of empty grassy plots dotted around the campsite if you have come with a camper-van or tent. There are 2 main pools plus a shallow pool for the younger children and fast waterslides. The environment full of wilderness is stunning and there is an equestrian centre across the road from the campsite that is open to the guests so anyone who wants to can book a pony/horse trekking session through the forest and past the lake. The campsite also lets guests rent out a peddlo boat to take out onto the campsites lake. I recommend this campsite to people who love being outdoors and being active and love doing stuff in the wilderness. This sort of holiday also offers calmness and relaxation.

Our 8th stay in 10 years at this campsite. Our children are teenagers now, but still love coming and meeting friends made on previous stays. ||||We love the beautifully kept grounds, large pitches very professional and friendly staff who are always on hand to advise and support if needed (and we have needed with a few medical emergencies!). The owners Anne and Eric are really hands on, approachable, knowledgeable and passionate about the site and this shines through everything. ||||Pool area isn’t huge, but it’s big enough, I’m not training for the Olympics. My daughter loves the equestrian centre and rides a few times every stay. ||||We haven’t found another site that matches it. ||||We take our own tent and stay on a premium tent pitch which means bbq, chairs, table, fridge, parasol and storage cupboard are all included. ||||We will be back next year! ||||||

Fantastic campsite with fabulous staff and facilities. Also this year with the 60th anniversary a lovely evening event in the grounds of the chateau. Everything about this site is top quality. Pitches are of a very good quality and can highly recommend

Découverte du camping La Garangeoire en fin de saison. Nous avons apprécié la qualité de l'accueil et des prestations. Notre chalet confortable à souhait. L'existence de circuits randos sur place est un plus. Les services de restauration sont pratiques. Le personnel attentif et à l'écoute de la clientèle. L'environnement est verdoyant et reposant. Très satisfaits de cette découverte.

The staff here are exceptional, really friendly and helpful and always ready to help. We had 2 bedroom caravan, basic but very clean. Had slight issue with the kettle tripping the electricity every time it boiled but easy to reset! Facilities good and varied and really well kept. Takeaway, bar and shop a little pricey. Would definitely stay again. Thumbs up to the reception and cleaning staff.

We have been before so knew the pitches were large to very large. We were shown to a sunny pitch which we were happy with. Disappointed with 2 things. The milk had 2 days ‘use by date but the price was nearly double supermarche prices. I appreciate the site was closing on 15th September so wouldnt be restocking but the milk should have been reduced in price.||We also had an unused washing token and it was unreasonable that reception would not refund us for it on our last day

vom Fahrrad Zeltplatz bis zum Luxusrefugium im eigenen Bambushein. Bestens ausgeschilderte Waldspaziergänge im "Elfenland" an Bächen, Teichen und Seen. Wunderbar mit Hund. Ein bezaubernder Ort, mit Menschen die all das abrunden.

Love this place

Une première pour nous dans un camping et nous ne regrettons absolument pas d'avoir choisit la garangeoire , bien au contraire. Un personnel exceptionnel, toujours agréable, toujours souriant , toujours à l'écoute. Le camping est bien arboré , le cadre est apaisant avec toute sa nature , c'est calme et reposant . Le camping est top aussi pour nos amis les chiens . Ça nous manque déjà .. nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ????

Thank you to all the staff for an excellent stay and for being so friendly and helpful. |There was plenty to do here for all the family for one week. We had a really relaxing stay in one of the chalets that we booked directly.|We enjoyed the fresh pastries every day from the shop and the food from the takeaway. Would have liked a few healthier options and better snack options for during the day.

We had never stayed here before, but know other Les Castels campsites. This one is quite outstanding - location, amenities and staff were all in perfect working order, despite a long and imperfect summer (weather). Nothing was too much trouble and we felt genuinely cared for. The restaurant food was quite excellent and very reasonably priced. 5 stars!

This was our first time here. We have our own caravan and the pitch we had was perfect for us. Three lovley weeks holiday. Great site for children, our son, daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren also stayed here with us for one week but in a chalet.

Nous avons passé un super séjour. ||Le seul bémol est notre accueil par une personne peu agréable appliquant l'horaire d'arrivée strictement sans tenir compte de la pluie qui a bien compliquée notre installation.||Cette excès de rigidité est bien dommage !

Nous avons passé 3 semaines en famille dans ce camping en Aout 2024 dans un lodge (une grande tente avec un plancher en dur, des cloisons en bois pour séparer l'espace et une salle de bain). C'est un camping calme, très grand (plus de 20ha pour les emplacements sur un domaine de 200 ha), très international (une majorité de public anglophone pendant notre séjour). Les lodges sont très bien conçus et la literie est confortable. Les services sont nombreux (dont une supérette ouverte jusqu'à 20h), un bon restaurant, 2 bars, plusieurs lieux de baignade, des cours de tennis, un centre équestre, etc.
Superbe découverte, on reviendra !
Un grand bravo à l'équipe d'accueil très sympathique et réactive, et qui sait prendre le temps pour chaque client.

We visited for the first time this year and absolutely see the reason for the positive reviews and reason people come back year after year. ||The campsite is beautifully laid out, planted with lovely plants and impeccably maintained. The site has a calmness and positivity everywhere you go and the staff are so helpful and friendly. ||The site has lots of outdoor space and a full schedule accessible by an app for things to do. Kids club was good between 10 and 12 and again in the evening. Evening entertainment was fairly low key but enjoyable. No lively bands etc but lots going on. I think my only recommendation would be to vary the evening entertainment a bit with some more lively live music and also provide an area older kids to hang out as when we came at the end of August the park area and WiFi area was a bit dark in the evening - maybe an area specifically designed for kids 10 - 16 to hang out near the bar area.||We stayed on a pitch with a small touring caravan and the pitch was large and private. Some had private facilities. If you want one with sunshine, ask when booking as the ones at the bottom are shaded by large trees which will be great for some but not all. The camping area was lovely.||There is a superb clean swimming pool with slides including a covered pool and lots of loungers, a reasonable priced bar overlooking the pool. There is a big bar with a beautiful walled garden for relaxing in and a smaller bar elsewhere which is more suited to adults and very nice. Things to do include horse riding, tennis, a lagoon for swimming, lakes, walking paths, table tennis, arcade room with pool tables. We had food at the restaurant and it was lovely - service was great and food really nice. Would be good to use evening kids club if you want dinner with out the kids.||We used the site to explore the coastline which has amazing cycle routes - the whole vendee seems like a cyclists dream especially with kids. Cycling directly from the site isn't great but we enjoyed taking the bike and parking up on the coast and cycling in to towns like Les Sables-d'Olonne and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie which have great restaurants and beaches. ||The market in Brétignolles sur Mer was great and definitely worth a visit! Followed by a trip to the beach. ||It definitely has a unique vibe on the site which feels safe, relaxing and great for kids and families. Everywhere on the site is clean and well maintained. I would 100% recommend it.

An excellent site for young families and multi-generational stays. Clean, quiet and plenty to keep everyone entertained. Would recommend the family mobile home set up; two caravans sharing one deck and garden space. Great for larger groups!

This was our 2nd visit to La Garangeoire and we had another wonderful holiday. This is a great campsite for families with young children. We had a shaded pitch with a private sanitary block which made our stay very comfortable. All the staff we encounterred were lovely. The kids club staff work very hard to provide fun activities for the children. The food in the takeaway is good quality and well cooked. Our only suggestion would be to vary some of the evening entertainers in the bar as several of them were the same as featured last year but that said, we'd happily see Zanzibar's act every year as he is great. ||||Our children are aged 5 and 8 years and this site is ideal for them. We love the setup here and we may well return next year to further explore the wonderful Vendee area.

Great Campsite with super staff and plenty to do

Aardig personeel, veel faciliteiten, prima stacaravans met een redelijk stuk gras erbij. Wel erg veel hoogte verschil op de camping, jammer voor kleine kinderen die graag willen fietsen.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, amazing facilities, so much to do for all ages, amazing food too! A perfect stay to recharge the batteries and discover new sports. We loved the archery and the tennis lessons, the canoeing and tge crazy golf. Amazi g pool and eautiful

Super camping, très propre! ||De belles animations, animateurs sympathiques, bon emplacement ! ||Juste petit bémol , toutes les animations sont en anglais on ne comprenais pas ce qu’ils disaient et pas assez de transats à la piscine..

Nous sommes venus une semaine l’an dernier et nous sommes revenus pour le week-end du 15/08 cette année. Nous avions trop envie de revenir ne serait ce que le temps d’un week-end ! Moi qui ne comprends pas ceux qui partent au même endroit chaque année je me retrouve à avoir envie d’y retourner en 2025 !!||On se sent tellement bien dans ce camping : la nature, les services, la bienveillance et gentillesse du personnel !||A bientôt !

An absolutely incredible campsite set in a beautiful location. The grounds were pristine, the activity calendar was packed full for all ages, the service was excellent, and the bar was stocked with good wines and beers. Thoroughly impressed.
