BEST WESTERN HÔTEL DE MADRID

We stayed at this hotel for a week while exploring Cote d’Azur. While the staff are pleasant and the location very convenient for the public transport, we’ve encountered major issues with our room.
The room was ok size wise, but the bathroom was tiny and badly designed. Our one in particular was mouldy - black specks of mould on the ceiling and on the shower walls. The towel hooks kept coming away from the walls because they were stuck on with adhesive instead of being properly secured. Shower doors were slightly misaligned resulting in a risk of flooding to the bathroom whenever I showered. The main bedroom itself had a slightly damp smell and the aircon unit didn’t work, so we were left having to open the window frequently, in November’s chilly weather.
Decoration wise, the rooms are well appointed, but ours again was somewhat dirty - there were stains on the walls from where things had been spilled against the soundproofing wall coverings, the main mirror had specks of dust on it etc. As it turns out, their housekeeping are so short-staffed that regularly our room would not be made up until 4pm or so and I’d have to go down to reception and request to have it done up. Even then, because everyone on the maintenance team seems to be overstretched, the room would just not get cleaned well (used cups not replaced, bathroom sink left dirty, surfaces not wiped down etc). The wi-fi was fine, the lobby nice enough. The lift is tiny and just big enough to fit two people with luggage or a parent with a small pushchair. We did not partake in breakfast. While the hotel is rated 4*, it definitely did not feel like a genuine 4* experience. Overall I’d not stay there again.

Puis ayant signalé le problème suite à une nuit blanche, nous avons été reclassés dans une autre chambre. Effectivement un peu plus grande mais surtout sans bruit sauf que très tôt le matin nous entendons les travaux de l hotel ( marteau et perforateur) dans une chambre voisine. Alors ce serait bien de respecter svp les clients et les horaires pour attendre 11h que les clients quittent les chambres pour faire ce que bon vous semble. On paie pour un service pour être bien et se reposer, et non supporter les incommodités dès votre établissement.
Personnel sympa aussi mais à cause de tous ces problèmes, je ne recommanderai jamais cet hôtel.

Siami arrivati e l'albergo era in overbooking, il receptionist non ci ha fornito assistenza nella ricerca di un altro albergo ma in modo molto scortese ci ha buttati fuori. Non consiglio assolutamente.

Accueil sympa à la réception bon petit déjeuner Point négatif propreté des ex et les produits douche et après shampooings vides.. on les met ds le lavabo pendant qu ils seront changés le lendemain… résultat ils ont été jetés mais pas changés.. chambre de luxe en plus .. elle n a que le nom… très mal insonorisé on entend la conversation la douche et le fœhn des voisins… rue mal fréquentée Déçue
