Don't even contemplate staying here. The worst, yet most expensive campsite of our trip, at €40/night low season. Dirty, outdated, poor facilities, terrible pitches.
Our first night, we were directed up a hill to a pitch with electricity. The road is narrow, one way, lined by trees/roots sticking out. The pitch was slightly sloping (tolerable), there was broken beer bottle glass & rubbish on the floor. In the morning, with nowhere to turn the only option to leave was to reverse all the way back - this (in a citroen relay van), was extremely difficult, required assistance of other campers to navigate & was still impossible not to scratch the vehicle from the overgrowth.
The second night we moved to a different pitch, lower down the hill. Most the electricity boxes dont take the usual European 3pin, (but something predating this we've never seen before), so we were limited to one pitch. The pitch was next to a delipudated cabin, with broken decking, broken furniture & rubbish on it. And our pitch had a tall metal ladder leaning up against a tree for our remaining 2nights. No sign of any work going on, just abandoned. Health & safety anyone?
Sanitary blocks - another disaster. Outside door handle broken off, just lying on the floor. Inside, shower cubicles with such thick scum over the walls/floor, they must've gone months without a thorough clean. Shower heads removed in two of the showers (so just pouring out the pipe), and shower trays that aren't positioned for the shower heads so you have to stand on the edge of the shower tray. Locks also missing on some doors. However, the water was lovely and hot-but that's my sole compliment.
Good bus service into town and out to the nature reserves, we made use of that. In that respect location is convenient. However, it feels this campsite doesnt take care of the facilities, but being the only campsite in Aix, gets away with charging an astromic amount as people don't have alternatives.
Elsewhere (including Avignon) we paid €22-25pn, generally for much nicer facilities, here was €40.

We came in our motorhome to visit Aix-en-Provence for a couple of days and chose this campsite for its location on the edge of town. We wanted a sunny spot on the campsite, a chance to get our washing done after a couple of weeks on the road, use of the showers and good WiFi connection.
What a disappointment. We were allocated a gloomy spot under trees at the bottom of the hill, next to a disused outdoor café/restaurant. The nearby shower block was locked on the second day leaving my wife to trek up the hill in her night dress to find the other shower block after getting a dis-interested response from the reception staff.
Our washing was trapped in the washing machine for several hours because the electrical supply was out of action, a state of affairs which we only discovered after the machine door had been closed. When the electricians finally turned up and the washing was done, it was dark and there was no tumble drier so we had to leave it draped over the bushes overnight, but it was still wet in the morning.
The WiFi signal was weak and the connection kept dropping out.
On complaining about these issues and the fact that it was totally unacceptable for a cost of 105 Euros for 3 nights, it was absolutely galling to be told that we could have had a sunny pitch at the top of the hill where there were several others motor homes and where the shower block was open.
This site is the worst value for money we have ever had in 6 years of motorhome experience including several visits to France.
In summer the site may be acceptable, but right now it looks tired, run down and their charges for late November are scandalous. They are clearly complacent with the fact that it is the only site in town.
