BRASSERIE DE LA JOLIETTE

We were off schedule because of the flight to France. Woke up at 3 am. Put breakfast restaurant near me in google. Saw this place opened at 5:30 so we decided to walk to it (close to our hotel). We didn’t check out the menu. There were a lot of utility workers in there. The place was nice and clean. They were still setting up tables inside and out. A employee pointed to a table. He came over. I couldn’t hear what he asked me. I said sorry, do you speak English? He said, “Yes, just tell me what you want so I can do my job.” We said we’ll have a coffee, a hot tea and a menu please. He said we don’t have a menu. We don’t serve food until lunch. We should have gotten up and left then but we were cold. He brought over our order. It was the smallest coffee I have ever seen! At least my husband did get 2 cups of tea out of the pot. He went up to pay. The same employee said it was 540 euros. My husband tried to give him a credit card. He said we only take euros. My husband said we don’t have any (we were told we wouldn’t need any and the taxi and other place the day before all took our credit card). He said, “You are in France!” (which was true but why did he have to be so rude?). He told us there is an ATM on either side of the restaurant. You can get Euros there. We did….for a 6 Euro fee. We went back and gave him 20 Euros. The man behind the bar gave my husband the change. He seemed nice and thanked us. We wouldn’t go back if they were the only place open! To make matters worse, we went to another place and ordered a coffee (I was offered 2 sizes and both were much bigger than the one I got at the Brasserie) hot tea and 2 pastries and the total was 740 Euros!

Très bruyant à l'intérieur et un service au pas de course... mais un personnel agréable. Cuisine sans surprise et classique.

Super petit déjeuner de la Toussaint à la Joliette ! Le pain au chocolat était excellent ! Bonne fête à tous !

Super brasserie ! Nous voulions pas du tout manger dans les terrasses...pas déçues du tout. Une vrai pause...un très bon repas brasserie ... une bonne ambiance et des serveurs supers !
A 5 min des terrasses ne pas réfléchir, on reviendra !
