Accommodation at Chamgaia exceeds expectations!
An excellent kitchen with all modern amenities for any meal choices.
It's quiet and peaceful with magnificent views across the valley.
The rooms are well appointed with comfortable bedding and all have stunning views from their patios.
If you plan on visiting then bring along Mosquito repellent!
The 'main' quarter combines kitchen, laundry, dining area and kitchen, and two bedrooms. The loft bedroom isn't that private but has magnificent views.
A large balcony with comfortable chairs and couches plus a large dining room table complete this quarter

Just Magical!!!
This place is a true gem and even though it’s so close to everything, you truly feel in the middle of nature and the wild! Waking up watching the birds and mystical forest in the background is just truly magic, we felt like in a jurassic park movie sometimes :). Not to talk about the amazing sunsets with the fireplace lit in the background. The 3 houses are beautifully designed and decorated and spotless clean. There is a full kitchen with absolutely everything you need, make sure you bring all your provisions as you won’t want to leave this place once arrived. If you still feel like moving, there are plenty of walks and hikes you can do around the property. The property is perfect for a family or group of friends. Since it’s 3 separate houses you will also feel very comfortable and not lost if it’s just two of you. We can’t wait to return one day to this little piece of paradise. Thanks again for everything!

ChaGaia offers a rare haven of tranquility and sustainability nestled in the heart of Chamarel. From the unique, nature-inspired features of each bedroom to the resounding chorus of birdsong each morning (my personal favorite), this eco-conscious paradise transports you to the canopy of the forest. The resort's commitment to sustainable practices shines through in every detail of your stay, ensuring a rejuvenating escape that both nourishes the soul and preserves the planet. A truly magical experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a harmonious connection with nature, probably one of the top reasons to visit Mauritius, and stay in Chamarel.

VILLA HIGHLIGHTS:
- All the bedrooms are unique, and each have interesting features. All carefully and tastefully designed. Everyone loves a stylish aesthetic. The property was truly photogenic!
- Each room have front row seating to watching and listening to nature. If you truly want to connect with nature (and disconnect from hurried city life for a while) without leaving your balcony, this is probably the right spot for you.
- You are woken up gently by a concerto of birds singing - I think this was 5-star on its own for me. I live in the city, this was such a treat!
- Beds are as comfy as they come. Best sleep of my life :-)
- Fully functional kitchen (with oven and BBQ grill/plancha, all high quality white goods) so we could make our own meals easily at anytime. We did BBQ party twice during our stay.
- I personally love the balcony in main house as it is huge with both dining and living area, to which where we spent most of our time together as a group. This is also perfect spot for sundowner as you can watch the sky splash dramatic colors over Le Morne.

NEARBY AREA HIGHLIGHTS:
- Easy access to the best of Chamarel (1) Waterfalls (400-500m), (2) 7 Colored Earth (less than 1-1.2KM) (3) LaVilleon (for zip line and archery), and (4) Ebony Forest - which was our daily walking/hiking activity during our stay.
- You can arrange a hike down the Chamarel Waterfalls with a guide that the staff of Chamarel can help you connect/arrange with).
- The drive into Chamarel/Chamgaia is so beautiful day and night. It's an experience in itself.

CAUTION/RECOMMENDATION:
- Heavy duty mosquito spray. This is not just for Chamgaia, but for the entire island. You will need it nearly 24x7. I find the local brands don't do the job. Bring some, bring loads!
- Be ready for nature's bug life, as there will be plenty everywhere. Be comfortable with that. Thankfully, the island doesn't have natural predators so you won't be walking into snakes etc.

Un endroit magique hors du temps !!!!

Un petit coin de paradis où se ressourcer au milieu de la nature! Nous sommes venus en famille à 7 et avons passé un séjour absolument enchanteur au ChamGaia.
Tout est parfait le lieu, avec sa vue incroyable, la décoration qui a été pensée dans les moindres détails et les propriétaires qui sont aux petits soins.
Sans compter que nous sommes sur une location eco responsable respectueuse de son environnement.
Merci pour ce lieu magique et nous reviendrons très très vite!
