Auf dem Weg zum Hotel wurden wir von unserem Taxi-Fahrer bereits für unsere Hotelwahl beglückwünscht. Und direkt nach der Ankunft haben wir verstanden warum. Das Hotel ist wunderschön mitten in der Natur gelegen, ist dabei einzigartig in die Umgebung integriert und bietet mit seinen einzelnen Bungalows eine super Möglichkeit zu entspannen. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Essen und der Service eine Klasse für sich.
Ausflugsziele in den Süden der Insel (z.B. Le Morne Brabant, Delfintouren, Wanderrouten, Wasserfällel) sind innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu erreichen. Ein Highlight ist die hoteleigene Sunset-Bar, von der sich der Sonnenuntergang bei einem frisch-gemixten Cocktail wunderbar genießen lässt.
Wer (für die Flitterwochen) auf der Suche nach ein paar besonderen Tagen auf Mauritius ist, sollte sich dieses Hotel genauer ansehen. Es bietet einige unvergessliche Momente.

Wir hatten uns für dieses schöne Refugium bewusst entschieden… es liegt charmant in der Natur. Der dazugehörige Park ist sehr gepflegt mit tollen Pflanzen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und höflich ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Zimmer sehr sauber, war im Africastil eingerichtet mit nicht einsehbarer Aussendusche. Sitzbereich und Terrasse. Himmelbett mit Moskitonetz, das man auch braucht. Wir hatten den schönen Pool genutzt, sowie eine entspannende Massage. Können wir nur empfehlen. Das Frühstück als Buffet und das Abendessen a La carte war qualitativ hochwertig und delikat. Wir haben den romantischen Ort sehr genossen … können wir sehr empfehlen. Wir waren für 2 Nächte da….

One of, if not the best hotel we have stayed at. The staff were absolutely incredible, with nothing being too much trouble and extremely friendly. We had a private pool overlooking the sea and it was clean spacious and just perfect.
We came for our honeymoon and would not hesitate in coming back again!

Einfach nur unbeschreiblich! Eingebettet in der völligen Natur liegt dieses unfassbar tolle Hotel, wobei Hotel nicht wirklich stimmt. Man fühlt sich direkt wie Zuhause. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit des Personals sucht seines gleichen!

Wir waren während unserer Flitterwochen einige Tage hier. Die Anlage ist mitten im Dschungel in einem wunderschönen Tal gelegen. Dort stehen verteilt ca. 20 Hütten, in denen jeweils eine Suite untergebracht ist. Unsere hatte sogar einen eigenen Pool.
Die Hütten selbst sind dabei sehr schön, leicht rustikal eingerichtet und haben richtig Flair. Unser persönliches Highlight war die Außendusche sowie das Himmelbett.
Die restliche Anlage ist wunderschön angelegt und sehr weitläufig.
Genau wie die Anlage konnte auch das Personal, der Service, das Essen und die Bar komplett überzeugen. Alle waren sehr freundlich, sehr persönlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Der einzige mögliche Kritikpunkt wäre, dass die Anlage relativ weit außerhalb liegt und deswegen für die meisten Aktivitäten außerhalb ein Taxi notwendig ist. Aber das haben wir uns ganz bewusst so ausgesucht.
Ich hoffe das ich meine Frau überzeugen kann zu einem Jubiläum hier nochmal einzukehren.

Lieux d'exceptionnel en fin de séjour entre Rodrigue et Maurice, une belle histoire familiale. Une évasions sensorielles ou le personnel est à vos petits soins.
La cuisine est plus authentique le jeudi jour de buffet.
De merveilleux coucher de soleil au bar du point de vue.
La faune et la flore font partis des tableaux paysagers. c'est mon coup de cœur, mon mana intérieur, un émerveillement.

We can't praise this place highly enough. Outstanding in all respects. All the food was amazing, staff always there to help with a smile, fantastic view bar with cocktails and sunsets, loved the music and dancing, fantastic natural surroundings.

The final stop on our honeymoon and what a fabulous end to our trip in Mauritius.
This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay special. We received special notes from the hotel every evening. The lodge was breathtaking (Trois Mammeles) with a pool and view of the sea.
We had the most incredible massages from Karishma. We booked in again they were so amazing!
The hotel offer free yoga sessions. We did 2 with Roxann that were great for all abilities and an aerobic session with Agnieszka that was a once in a lifetime experience.
Sylvia helped plan our visit with a trip to the local rum distillery and also a hike on Piton du Canot (be warned lots of climbing!)
We didn’t get a note of everyone’s name and everyone who works here is incredible but a few shout outs. Didier was so sweet and made incredible food recommendations and Yanice went the extra mile to make every night special.
This is not an ordinary hotel. The food, the staff and the surroundings are out of this world. Honestly, a taste of heaven.

We stayed for a couple of nights and it was amazing. The staff was super helpful and thoughtful, the food was delicious, the rooms were outstanding, and the views were simply stunning! We hiked around the area, and took a taxi closeby to see the ebony forest, 7 sands, 100 mts high waterfall and the tortoises. Would absolutely return!

Tout était parfait.
Le personnel est chaleureux et accueillant.
La chambre est belle et la salle de bain à ciel ouvert est incroyable.
Allen notre chauffeur de taxi saura vous donner plein de bons conseils, il est super !!

Top de chez top !!! Un cadre somptueux, un service aux petits soins, des extras de qualité, tout est rassemblé à Lakaz pour vous faire passer un séjour inoubliable. Petit déjeuner varié, repas excellents et bonne ambiance au bar avec une vue sur l'océan à couper le souffle !!! N'hésitez pas à demander Allen et son taxi pour vous faire visiter les alentours, il vous donnera plein d'explications et de précieux conseils. Je vous recommande également les massages qui sont un vrai moment de détente. C'est presque avec la larme à l'oeil que nous avons quitté cet hôtel tellement nous nous sommes sentis presque chez nous. We had the most wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. The whole place was incredible and all of the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Peggy and the team were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. The location was absolutely stunning and the food was great too. We would definitely give this place 10 stars if we could. Thank you for our stay! We hope to come back one day :)

We stayed at Lakaz Chamarel in August 2023 for our honeymoon and we couldn’t recommend the place more. Peggy, Vinesh, Sylvia, Jeremy and to be honest, all the staff at Lakaz Chamarel made the hotel feel like a home from home. The rooms are incredibly luxurious, with a private pool and sunbathing area overlooking the beautiful tropical forest surrounding the hotel. The food was exquisite every day - absolutely delicious, and the friendly wildlife around the hotel was an amazing added perk! I was hand feeding tropical birds at breakfast - it was fantastic! There is nothing we could add as an improvement and I’d personally rate Lakaz Chamarel as a 5 star hotel, not a 4 star. Thank you for helping to make our honeymoon that extra bit special.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon wanting to see a bit of nature whilst in Mauritius and we were delighted with Lakaz Chamarel. The staff truly go out of their way to make your stay exquisite, Vinesh in particular was amazing and really made our stay, he's a total credit to the hotel, making sure we were taken care of like ensuring we had breakfast packed for our early hike up le morne. Tony was also fantastic and made sure we got to our rooms ok.
We stayed in a villa with ocean view and a pool which was great but be warned if you go in June-Sept because it's high up it gets a little chilly and rainy so we didn't get to use it.
The only thing I have to mention that took away from our experience was the nespresso pods in the rooms- we used them not realising you get charged for them (it's not made clear). So just be warned that they aren't free, only the instant coffee is which is surprising for a hotel which is supposed to be branded as luxury
On one of the days we told Julie at reception that we were being picked up early around 4am for our hike so would need the gate left open, she said she'd like security know but somewhere down the line this was lost in translation and at 4am when we needed to go our driver couldn't get into the hotel to pick us up and security had no idea because the message didn't get to them.
Apart from this it's a fab hotel, the food at the restaurant changes on a daily basis so you never get bored. If you're about nature I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay!

Un des meilleurs hôtels que nous ayons fait. Dès le portail, nous arrivons au paradis, chants d’oiseaux, cadre verdoyant, grand étang. Accueil comme à la maison, personnel aux petit soins, nourriture excellente. Nous étions logés dans la chambre Tourelle Tamarin, avec une vue à couper le souffle, lit confortable, douche extérieure, grande salle de bain et piscine privée. En bref, dans l’hôtellerie, on dit que le vrai luxe se cache dans les détails, et la chaque détail est pris en compte. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour.

Notre séjour au Lakaz Chamarel à l'occasion de notre voyage de noces était incroyable!
L'arrivée dans cet hôtel en pleine nature était des plus dépaysants.
Ce lieu est réellement magique avec des suites magnifiquement décorées avec beaucoup de goût et personnalisées. Le personnel de l'hôtel était également aux petits soins avec nous et d'une grande gentillesse.
La soirée animée par un groupe local était également unique.
Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel à l'Ile Maurice!

What an incredible experience! The service is the best we have ever had. The food was very good a little bit upmarket for me but it was still very good. The set menu changes every night which does lead to some guesswork based on smells! We stayed in the sea view suites and the view was amazing, it is quite a long walk to our suite but you can ask at reception for one of the golf buggies to take you up if you are struggling. The massage included in our package was brilliant and the half board was good, the drinks are reasonably priced, my only gripe was having to pay separately for the table water, it was only the equivalent of about £1.50 so not a massive issue. A special mention to Yacine who was a brilliant waiter the whole time and made our experience feel very personal and Sylvia at reception who went to the garden and got aloe Vera for my wife when her bite swelled up. All in all and amazing experience and one that I would recommend to anyone .

My husband and I stayed here last month on our honeymoon. We had the most amazing time at Lakaz, it really is a special place! It is so tranquil and peaceful with the most amazing service and food. The staff really did go above and beyond, including making lunch reservations for us at nearby restaurants. We very much hope to return one day!

Super tolle Lodge! Top Essen, top Lage, wunderschön angelegte Anlage, super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal können wir wirklich empfehlen. Gern auch auf der Homepage die möglichen Ausflüge und Gegebenheiten durch lesen, war für uns sehr hilfreich. :)

We had an overnight flight home so we had to leave the room by 12.00pm. Our bags were stored which was fine but facilities for changing was the baggage storage area, with other peoples luggage. We struggled to change for our 12hr flight home in this unlit storage room. I think it was poor that a hotel of this calibre couldn't provide a small, self-contained facility to allow guests to freshen up prior to leaving for an overnight flight.
The other worthy of mention point would be to use more sustainable strimmers rather than the noisy petrol items your gardening staff use. This disturbed the tranquility of our stay with you for 2 of the 3 days.
