When I arrived there were 7-10 workers facing the front door at the receptionist bar. Not one staff person looked up to greet me. I walked up still nothing. I said hello, I'm here to check in. They looked at each other and eventually decided which one would assist me. Definitely not a welcoming group.
The focus of the lobby is the huge bar/reception desk. You can have their signature cocktail upon arrival. No detectable alcohol. I'd rather have complimentary coffee/tea in the room or lobby but they don't offer either option. You have to get it at the bar for €2.50.
The room was fine tho there was a lot of black hair on one of the beds. Disgusting. Luckily I had the second bed to use. I paid the extra for "city view", there is no view, it's of the bus station. Don't bother.
Not a hotel I'd come back to as I'm over 23 years old and a bar isn't my circle of life.
Give me a regular hotel with friendly customer service, a clean bed and complimentary coffee before my morning flight and I'm happy. This hotel offered none of those things. I've stayed in €20 hostels and $200 hotels nearby as I travel frequently and have had much better experiences at all of them.
Plenty of shops also walking distance to the main shopping mall Vasco de Garma.
Bed was uncomfortable..no real place to hang your clothes a couple of hangers on a rail attached to the wall. Bathroom small, nice shower and the room was clean. no iron, no coffee or tea making facilities. Only one pillow which was quite thick, two thin ones would have been better then you would be able to choose if you wanted two pillows together. On the plus side, there was a safe.

The rooms are very poorly designed. Anybody older than 17 will be uncomfortable in the rooms. You have to live out of your suitcase while it sits on the floor. A fellow guest sharing the elevator called it a kiddie hotel, which pretty much sums it up.
The highlight of breakfast was powdered eggs and cheap weiners. Not what I expected from a Marriott property. Half of the staff had trainee badges on and were being trained by crew members who were not that good to begin with.
You have been forewarned.
