Avoid this hotel, it shows complete lack of empathy and care for its guests and their travel safety.

I booked a non-refundable room directly via their website. During the days prior to my arrival, there was heightened seismic activity and according to Iceland's authorities, a high likelihood of volcanic eruption. Besides the closure of popular spots such as Blue Lagoon, there was a real risk that flights would be affected in the coming days, leaving travelers stranded.

Given the risk, I decided to move my booking to a later date; the airline and other hotels (also non-refundable) were very accommodating. This hotel was the only business that refused to accommodate my request, despite the extraordinary circumstances. Not only that, but they waited days to reply to my inquiries and only did so on the day of arrival. They eventually sent a template email citing the booking policy and when I replied requesting for a resolution other than forfeiting my full stay, they simply ignored my email.

Delayed, impersonal and finally no replies, encouraging guests to ignore travel risks during seismic and imminent volcanic activity, and complete lack of empathy are the opposite of what I expect from the hospitality business.

Las habitaciones básicas tirando a hostal, la limpieza deja que desear, me deje un pantalón de Chandal encima de la cama, e hicieron la cama con él dentro.

Ana, la camarera, y otra chica portuguesa que hay, son muy amables, y agradables, el resto no hacen el mínimo esfuerzo por entenderte si no hablas inglés. Viven del turismo, pero no están adaptados al español.

Gutes bis sehr gutes Hotel.
Einchecken und Auschecken ging schnell und das Frühstück sehr gut. Mit dem Zimmer war ich auch sehr zufrieden. Bis zum Busbahnhof (Flybus) benötigt man knapp 17 Minuten zu Fuß und ins Stadtzentrum vielleicht eine halbe Stunde. Nordlichter konnte ich der Nähe des Hotels auch mal bewundern.

I planned my stay here since I was traveling with my son. The rooms are nice and cozy. The room is nicely appointed and the view is also great. I am a budding astronomer so it was really nice to see Polaris shining right above my window. My checkin seemed really nice. A sweet lady greeted me and helped me.
Now comes the bad part. Their hospitality sucked. Most of their staff has some issues. The staff is not at all friendly and I felt as if they wanted to check at every step if I can pay for their services.
Imagine I came back from the long day tour and had to wait for around 15 mins just to get my keys back. They wanted to check my passport, my cards, my name etc only because I left my keys at the reception. Me and my 9 year old were juggling at the reception just so we got the key to our room.
You keep calling the reception and no one picks up. For any information, I had to step down to reception.
Before you enter their restaurant, be sure you enter with your credit card in hand. They can't wait to get a signature. First sign then sit, as if I will run away from the restaurant without paying, that is when I am staying at the hotel. Yes there food is great and housekeeping is also good.
My overall experience with them has been quite bad. They are not helpful but most of their staff is arrogant. I would never suggest booking this place, if you are coming with a child.

Hôtel super, restaurant délicieux et bar super aussi.
Le personnel est très gentil.
Ils ont de très gentilles attentions même quand vous devez partir à 4h du matin.
Ils sont très patients avec les enfants.
Les chambres sont haut de gamme avec d'excellent produits dans les salles de bains.
Les chambres sont super propre comme le reste de l'hôtel.
Il y a des prises pour toute la famille dans la chambre.
J'ai un peu batailler avec la télévision pour y connecter mon téléphone.
Il est très bien placé vous pouvez vous rendre à Reykjavik à pied, il est très proche du musée.
Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

Stayed here as part of a group tour. It was ok. Rooms are very basic, but we're clean. The restaurant had a fantastic breakfast and dinner buffet. Highly recommend that. Location is not close to the city and therefore not convenient for exploring. Taxis are expensive in Iceland so staying closer would have been preferred.

Really convenient location to downtown with free parking. Staff were all very nice, rooms are older with stiff beds but overall a comfortable stay.

Dobar hotel. Lijepo uređen i ugodan. Sobe prosječne veličina, kreveti sa jako mekanim madracima i jastucima. Dosta je hladno u sobama bez mogućnosti pojačavanja temperature(termostat postoji u sobama, ali bez funkcije).
Jako dobar doručak sa velikim izborom hrane! Kajgana, slanina, hrenovkice, namazi, kave, čajevi, sokovi, pekarski proizvodi, voće...ugodna i mirna atmosfera na doručku.
Wi-fi u sobama dobrog signala!
Osoblje bi moglo biti puno uslužnije i ljubaznije!

I didn't stay long at this hotel but I would hope to return again. The restaurant and breakfast particularly was lovely, with a build your own waffle station!

Booked for one night due to a change of circumstances. Despite having a room facing the domestic airport the room was very quiet. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were efficient. About 15 mins brisk walk to the centre of town

One of the best places we've stayed in Iceland. The staff are adorable and attentive, the room very pleasant and the bedding of a very high quality.
We also took advantage of the SPA area (highly recommended!) where several baths and treatments are available, and the restaurant buffet was very good.
The hotel as a whole is extremely comfortable, with different relaxation areas, different atmospheres and lots of peace and quiet.

We enjoyed everything. But if we had to find points for improvement, the first hour at the SPA was shared with a rather noisy group of people, which made relaxation more complicated. We also found the restaurant a little too expensive for the choice and quality of the buffet dishes (everything was very good, but slightly below expectations for the prices charged).
Finally, we were unable to use the TV in the room as the screen-sharing function was not working.
Nevertheless, the stay was excellent in every respect and these are just a few small comments.

One of the most beautiful discoveries of Reykjavik, we will return without hesitation!

Das Hotel ist sauber und das Essen reichhaltig und leider. Aber das ganze Gebäude hat den Charme eines Hotels aus den 80/90er Jahre. Es liegt direkt am Inlandsflughafen. Wir hatten am zweiten Tag angegeben, dass unser TV nicht funktionierte aber der wurde leider nicht mehr während unserer Zeit dort repariert. Ich weiß sie hatten viel zu tun, da an dem Wochenende aufgrund des Sturms alle Flüge gecancelt wurden aber ist trotzdem schade, dass auf Probleme nicht eingegangen wurde. Abendessen ist in Buffetform aber wir fanden mit 62€pro Person viel zu teuer

Me and my husband were two of the hundreds of people whose flight out of Iceland was canceled due to weather last night. Despite Iceland air overbooking the hotel they took us to (Iceland air’s fault, NOT the hotel’s), which caused me and my husband to wait in line for 2 hours only to not receive a room, this hotel staff went above and beyond to take care of everyone involved in the exhausting and unfortunate incident. They gave cots and bedding to those forced to sleep in the lobby, and they gave everyone involved free (very good) breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We are all beyond thankful for this hotel staff -especially beau (Bo? Spelling?).

位置有點偏，走海邊和中心地標都比較遠，但是離極光中心還算比較近，這個地方算是個中轉站，沒租車的可以這裏報一日團和坐機場大巴！

The room itself was lovely. We requested a King Junior Suite which ended up being the "Pink Suite" which was awesome. The bathtub was large, the water did not smell like sulfur which means they have an expensive filtration system for guests that aren't used to Iceland's notorious sulfur smelling hot water.

This hotel is near the airport and the aircraft landing/taking off can be somewhat loud, however if you like watching aircraft, this is actually a pro. The restaurant onsite is a trap. The breakfast is buffet style and I'm pretty sure the eggs are made from powder.

I did not try the spa, because if you're going to pay for a spa experience, just go to Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon. They are famous for a reason.

We also tried the restaurant for dinner, and I understand everything in Iceland is quite expensive, however that dinner was not even close to worth the $120+ we spent on it.

The service is really nice and the room was great. Just don't mess with the restaurant

It is a relatively convenient location in the urban area. It is close to the beach and the church. The parking lot is large and there are many rooms. The mattress in our room is too soft. I am not comfortable with it personally. It is very warm and the lighting is good. It is very comfortable to bask in the sun. . The front desk looks good, and the guests are more enthusiastic when they meet. I didn't eat here, and the price we booked was more affordable than other similar hotels in Iceland.
