N'accepte pas les chèques vacances alors que c'est affiché à l'entrée (autocollant chèque vacances et chèque vacances connect) et confirmé par téléphone une semaine en avance.

Crachât sur la porte de l’armoire……jamais vu ça.
Frigo vide et éteint…étonnant pour un hôtel 4 étoiles.
Point positif l’emplacement plein centre et le p’tit dej.
Sinon ça tombe à 2 étoiles.

Enjoyed our four night stay at the Mercure in a room with a balcony. Very quiet room, breakfast was delicious with a good variety of items, front desk staff friendly.

Merveilleux séjour à Avignon. L'hôtel est parfaitement bien situé. Nous sommes resté que 24h à Avignon, il était donc important d'être situé au centre de tout.
Je recommande vivement cet hôtel. Propreté, très bon accueil, merveilleux petit déjeuner et personnel très sympathique.

La salle de bain et les toilettes sont exiguës, les peintures boursouflées, la literie est de qualité.
Ma chambre correspondait avec une autre chambre où des asiatiques cuisinaient, l odeur était pestinancielle!!!

Merveilleux séjour à Avignon. L'hôtel est parfaitement bien situé. Nous sommes resté que 24h à Avignon, il était donc important d'être situé au centre de tout.
Je recommande vivement cet hôtel. Propreté, très bon accueil, merveilleux petit déjeuner et personnel très sympathique.

A mon arrivée la chambre était pleine de papiers, bouteilles vides et chasse non tirée…le réceptionniste était sympa et plutôt gêné… cependant pas remise ou geste co, ce qui aurait été la moindre des choses.

최근 리뷰를 보고 약간 걱정했는데, 아주 청결했습니다. 프론트 직원들이 매우 친절하고, 상냥합니다. 교황청을 비롯해 관광지들과 매우 가깝습니다. 기차역과는 약간 떨어져있지만, 충분히 걸을 만한 거리입니다.

My wife slipped and fell in the shower due to a very slippery surface. She fell backwards and hit her head, her back, her wrist and ankle. The floor of the shower was so slippery that that she was unable to stand up and I had to lift her up. She sustained sever pain and since returning to England has had several treatments by an Osteopath who is concerned that she may have damaged her spine and will have to have a Scan later this week. We spoke to the receptionist - there was no one else around - who was totally disinterested and did not offer any help, saying that no one had ever complained before about the slippery surface in the shower. I must also say that I found the shower surface very slippery and had warned my wife to be very careful when taking her shower.

Para descubrir Avignon no hay como quedarse en el centro de la ciudad. El encanto de recorrer las calles por la tarde noche es espectacular. El hotel esta super bién ubicado. El personal es muy atento, el desayuno fue delicioso y el estacionamiento queda a 2 cuadras de distancia (muy cerca).

Attention , il y a des punaises de lit. J'ai été piquée ainsi que mon fils. On a quitté la chambre avant la fin du séjour, c'était horrible.

Well located just 50m from the Papal Palace, large room, clean, good room service and breakfast. Also, the parking garage was a nice surprise. I feel like this wasn't well advertised and I only found out about it when hotel staff emailed me just before my arrival. Having a parking garage just 50m from the front door made a big difference in the center of Avignon.

Great location next to Palais des Papes, perfect for exploring main sites in Avignon. Welcome from reception was very good. Rooms are ok, decor a little tired. No bar did not have breakfast so can't comment on quality. Main issue if you bring a hire car is finding a parking spot in the underground public car park (20% discount through hotel) as spaces are limited and rather narrow for modern vehicles. Also you have to take your luggage up a flight of steps onto the street to access the hotel. Overall though the location makes that a worthwhile effort!

Punaises de lit au Mercure Palais des Papes !
L'hôtel mercure palais des papes fait face actuellement à un problème de punaises de lit.
Ma réservation effectuée en janvier dernier pour un séjour prévu du 27 au 29 septembre a été annulée sans communication de leur part. J'ai découvert en ligne en faisant mon check-in que je n'avais plus de chambre : "réservation annulée"...
Une personne a daigné m'appeler le 26 septembre m'expliquant le problème de punaises de lit rencontré par l'hôtel sans me fournir de solution d'hébergement satisfaisante (un hôtel ibis en dehors de la ville n'est pas une solution de remplacement quand le planning de travail est chargé). Cette personne devait me recontacter après en avoir parlé au directeur mais j'attends toujours son appel !

Some good and bad:
—Great location right next to the Palais
—Rooms overall nicely done and decent sized
—Service good
—Good selection at breakfast and plenty of room to sit down
However
—The shower is strange. It has a rain head that basically dribbles out and then a hand shower.
—The air conditioner kept kicking out so the room would warm up. The bedding is a single heavy comforter so it was either on or off. We had a hard time sleeping which outweighed all the goods. It was noisy enough on the square we could not leave the windows open.
I would consider staying here again in the future.

Very well located right in the middle of the city. Rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. Only downside is the lack of parking but if you follow the hotels direction provided far in advance by email your car will be parked very close to the hotel. Avoid large luggage as you will have to carry it for about 300m

Hôtel très bien situé au plein coeur d'Avignon. Idéal pour des balades en villes. Chambres propres, personnel accueillant et serviable. Petit déjeuner très bien aussi.

Wunderbare und äußerst hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter*innen.
Sehr zentrale Lage direkt am Papst-Palast.
Nur wenige Schritte über den Platz zur Tiefgarage „Palais des Papes
Sehr gutes Frühstück.
Sehr empfehlenswert die Zimmerkategorie "Privileg-Zimmer".
Die kleinen Schönheitsfehler:
- Die Klimaanlage machte manchmal schlapp (schaltete sich einfach aus), wahrscheinlich auf Grund der extremen Hitze (>40 °C). Nach Restart wieder OK.
Wurde angesprochen, aber nur ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten (in kleinere Kategorie).
In den frühen Morgenstunden Fenster geöffnet, dann alles OK!
- Wasser im Waschbecken lief nur extrem langsam ab (mehrere Minuten).
Wurde angesprochen und Abhilfe versprochen, die aber nicht erfolgte.
Aber alles keine Gründe, dort NICHT zu übernachten!

I was there April 21st, 2023 and the front desk service by Antoine was stellar! I could tell he worked long days seeing him in the lobby morning, afternoon, and evening. Yet he always had a smile on his face and cheer to spread daily. Great guy and what I think of when I look at Hotel Mercures. I used the safe and on that particular day, it wouldn't open. Anthony (Antoine) came to my room to tech and contacted support. I was out on an excursion and stressed that my passport, euros, and dollars were in the safe. A co-worker from the luxury sister location came over and got the safe open while I way away. Anthony texted the good news as I was set to head to Paris the next day.

If you can get a room with a balcony view, that's the way to experience the town of Avignon.

Pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles.
Chambres passables, faisant plus penser à un Ibis 3 étoiles.
De même que le petit déjeuner qui fut très décevant (à titre informatif, le petit dej Ibis est encore une fois équivalent, voir légèrement supérieur). 4 étoiles ne proposant ni saumon ni choix réellement intéressant.
Le personnel est inégal. Un homme dans la quarantaine devant être le manager agréable et serviable. Tandis que deux jeunes un garçon et une fille peu professionnels, faisant même des erreurs dans le check in.
La localisation est bonne au moins. Avec la vue sur le palais c'est splendide.
