L'ancien palace du Savoy de style 1900, rénové, est devenu La Folie Douce Hôtels. Bien connu des skieurs de Val d'Isère pour ses ambiances festives sur les pistes, le groupe investit depuis quelques années déjà les montagnes de Haute-Savoie et se lance en 2019 dans l'hôtellerie sur le site international de Chamonix. En mode refuge-hôtel chic mêlant une décoration de matériaux bruts alliant pierre, béton et bois, aux matières confortables des moquettes, tapis et tissus de velours privilégiant la détente conviviale, un confort de bon goût dans les chambres et suites premium - dont certaines avec balcon ouvrant sur le massif du Mont-Blanc - qui incluent l'accès à la piscine extérieure chauffée et au spa - un accès protégé permet d'en bénéficier toute l'année. En prime, des services nombreux avec une boutique, un bar et cinq restaurants dont la Fruitière fidèle à sa réputation et la Petite Cuisine accueillant des spectacles - en soirée l'été, en après-ski l'hiver. Les familles sont bienvenues avec des chambres familiales pour 6 personnes et un club enfants - en haute saison - avec des programmes d'animations qui leur sont spécialement adressés. Some annoyances, like the shower was slow to drain, the free WiFi was slower than treacle, and that the cleanliness of the Spa was subpar.
But the rooms were nice, it had a good atmosphere, and a good location.
Rooms : they have the worst beds i have ever experienced in any hotel
One week past from my trip and i still have backpain ! You definitely need a message session after checking out .
Location : this is the best thing about this hotel , great location !
Customer service is sub par, checked in, and did not get anything about where to go, amenities location, and no bell boy to help with luggage.
Requested to talk to the concierge about booking some ski classes, can’t, the representative is at lunch for 2 hours and no one is covering for him.
Room stinks to cigar smoke heavily, mentioned this to the person checking people in, they sent somebody to “spray” the room. Now it smells like cigar with roses.
This was supposed to be a nice vacation but it really fell short of everything on that regards.
Location is prime though, however for over $380 per night, I expected much more.
