In May 2021, Excellent place and presentation of courses. Get the wine pairing. It was a great experience I highly recommended. We ate here again the next day

We visited in the off season but before the end of October to avoid possibly overcrowded and busy streets. We enjoyed a lovely evening, had the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings, and it was magical! We highly suggest stopping by this wonderful restaurant.

Super Rude staff, not as good as they see

LD Terrace is completely deserving of its Michelin star. We had the regular and vegetarian tasting menus with wine pairings. Both were outstanding as were all of the wines. The visual presentation of each dish was beautiful. Our table was alongside the Adriatic. It was an amazing evening.

Another amazing restaurant in old city Korcula.

✖️THEY CANCELLED ON US AT THE DOOR✖️???? it’s a shame to have to write this, but important to flag (read more details here):

????so as avid believers in the Michelin Guide (see my other reviews), we were SO excited to eat here. However, we showed up to the door at our reservation, to be told AT THE DOOR “sorry, it’s too windy”
????speaking to the waiter some more, he said that they did have some space inside - but a party had booked all the tables
???? was told that they used to have more space inside, but the owner covert some of the space into a flat ????BIG thumbs down for putting personal intrest over the food ????

✖️think the main thing that’s left me to write this is NO COMMUNICATION. They said they sent an email (they didn’t - or at least we didn’t receive anything), but for a place with a star - call people? Text people? If you cannot seat them - erm, booked them into a place you like? Be helpful?
✖️the star is more then just the food, it’s the experience. Getting turned away at the door with nothing, left us both REALLY disappointed.

Gets some suggestions:
????you need some ‘back up’ indoor space. Bura windows are common here (I know that for sailing). There is a lot of unused space in old town, this could be a deal to use another restaurant space - or similar
????call people - try to sort something different. If you cannot do it, offer to book people into other local restaurants which you like (lots of good food here).
????consider relocation, as noticed number area in old town are better sheltered (we eat at one)

You’d find others would have appreciated the effort and might have left you a good review even if they didn’t eat with you.

We were not the only one disappointed by this, we saw other guest annoyed.

Please try harder and have back up plans if this happens again.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. Tasting menu for lunch, 100% recommended

Ovo je zaista bilo jedno predivno iskustvo. Spoj okusa i ambijenta, sjajno educirano osoblje je nesto sto si svatko treba priustiti u zivotu,pa barem jednom. Svaki slijed nosi svoju dubinu,rapsodiju okusa da je zaista tesko ostati ravnodusan i nakon nekoliko dana. Hvala na ovom predivnom iskustvu.

Prije dvije večeri smo napokon, nakon par godina želje, probali tasting menu U LD restoranu. Od samog dolaska do kraja večere, sve je bilo savršeno. Usluga, hrana, čak mislim da nismo mogli dobiti ni bolji stol jer je pogled bio prekrasan! Svi konobari su jako profesionalni te upućeni u svako jelo i piće do najsitnijeg detalja. Hrana chefa Marka Gajskog je precizno osmišljena, vrhunski izvedena i servirana. Sva jela su vrhunskog okusa i ako baš moram izabrati favorite, što je jako teško, osobno su mi najdraži 'jakobove kapice' te dodatno jelo koje smo odabrali 'langoustine'. Velike pohvale te vrijedno zaslužena zvijezdica!

LD is an exceptional dining experience in every category.

The dishes were a wonderful ode to local ingredients, with creativity at every turn. The flavours were outstanding and the presentation was stunning and thoughtful, best displayed in the deep-sea-to-sand motif of the amuse-bouche plating. Their signature Gyoza is truly a standout.

The service at LD is world class - attentive, warm and incredibly knowledgeable. Truly a standout team whose interactions with us complimented the food perfectly, and made the experience feel both memorable and high value. Their commitment to hospitality is evident though and through.

Thanks LD team, this was truly one to remember and we will be back again soon!

One of the most memorable dinners I've ever had. The attention to detail is impeccable- the plating, the flavours, the service, all of it! Each course felt like a choreographed dance, with the staff placing our plates down with such swift, delicate placement and in a coordinated fashion. Each ingredient/ element of each dish was explained and if we had further questions, all the staff members were knowledgeable about every single component of our meal. The timing of the meal was perfection, as were the textures, flavour profiles and presentation of each dish.
The sommelier was fantastic, guiding us in our wine choice and explaining the exceptionalities of orange wine. Our wine was poured so attentively, allowing us to enjoy it at length and in the perfect amounts. Our server was exceptional, he knew when and to engage with us, reading our cues expertly.
As hospitality veterans, my husband and I were in heaven at LD Restaurant.
Even the bathroom sink is outstanding!
Truly Michelin star worthy.

(The only one thing that could have made it better was if our table was de-crumbed between courses. Regardless, we were so happy that it didn't detract from our experience).

Just got back from dinner here. Absolutely amazing. The food. Plating. People. Location was just great. Even accommodating for my friends onion allergy. Highly recommend

Worth the money

We loved the food, wine, and service. The tasting menu with wine pairing is absolutely worth it. We loved all the courses, though we thought the fish dish was the weakest of the bunch, but still quite good. I had to remove a star because they allow smoking on the patio. No matter how good the food is, having a trio of people chainsmoking next to you takes away from the flavour of the food and the atmosphere as a whole. I hope the chef reconsiders allowing smoking.

Incredible!! A masterpiece! Beautiful location, stunning food and spectacular service. Each dish was excellent in taste presentation and quantity. Highly recommend this fine dining experience.

Visited here in Aug 2021. Great service. Worth the Michelin. View is perfect. See video.. got the tasting menu. Wasn’t disappointed.
