Outdated style with modern head board and cool wall paper. Very clean. Fresh looking and smelling linen; I have been to a 4 star hotel in Dubrovnik with slightly vinegar smelling towels when I get ‘clean’ ones so this is a bonus here. Bathroom is properly scrubbed down, no ‘invisible’ water spots left in the shower. I have had water marks and hair left in the bath of a 4 star hotel in Dubrovnik upon check in. so, I win for 'Petka' again. Shower gel and hand soap is provided, so all other bathroom products will need to be provided yourself (slippers and robe too). However, the door fixtures are not so secure, the main door’s handle appeared to be loose due, locked fine. The balcony door would open with wind sometimes unfortunately. TV with limited channels but good, mini fridge too which did work. Note: there was a bit of mold on the ceiling above the shower which was gross.
View: great view of the city, people moving about (busy location). Sea view with the chance to sea boats/ships/ferries coming in and out of the city’s port.
Location: excellent! Quite in the centre of the city. Bus stop and port is just opposite the entrance of the Hotel, easy access in, out and around the city. The bus station and taxi station where the ferries dock are only a couple minutes walk from the hotel. Restaurants and supermarkets are in walking reach. Nearby local park with markets running often. 30 minute walk from the old town.
Services: helpful and kind receptionists. Outside of the tourist season the hotel’s 2 restaurants are shut. Nevertheless, the main restaurant remains open for breakfast service outside of the tourist season. Buffet breakfast is standard, nothing luxury, just like eating as you would at home, maybe a bit more and a bit more variety on your plate. in regards to 'breakfast' at the hotel, the staff during the breakfast service were unprofessional, the women kept telling off the asian man that worked along side her multiple mornings during my 9 night stay there.
Feel: you live in the city, you are not in a resort area like the ‘Uvala Lapad’ area in Dubrovnik with other holiday people. You share the city with the residents.
