You can't even walk past this
hotel, because the employee
with badge "mozart hotel" (why?
there isn't mozart hotel, there is
mozart cafe near by) will pick on
you and explain that the sidewalk
belongs to the hotel or smth like
this. You can't stay near or walk.
The employee threatens to use
force against you and call
security when you just stay near
or walk away near. So l really
have no desire to stay in this
hotel with this kind of disrespect
service. Especially after reading
all of this 1 stars rooms reviews

If you location is all you care about, this has it. If you want a nice room or service, avoid it.
The rooms are as basic as it gets and you never know which room you’ll be given. For my birthday trip I booked a king room well ahead of time and expecting at least some kind of view. I was given a two twin room that is smaller than my spare bedroom at home, view of a neighboring wall, and not a plugin in site other than the one in the bathroom. My feet hang over the bed, which is surrounded by a wood box, so incredibly uncomfortable on the feet.
The poor receptionist already had one irate customer at her desk when I arrived to ask about the room I was supposed to have. Spend the money and go elsewhere for a better experience!

In reading other reviews it appears this happens often where you are given a 2 twin room even when booking a king room. The beds don’t even have proper sheets on them. You’re either laying on a mattress pad or just the comforter with no sheet between. Found a gem of a spot just a few doors down called U Prince. Same great location, way nicer facilities and rooms! Asking for a refund and moving there!

Location location location! Plus you get an old world feel inside the hotel and rooms. Very authentic and charming. 5 steps from the front of the hotel is the amazing Astronomical Clock Tower and old town square. The staff was very friendly and the rates were extraordinary compared to prices in the US. Can't wait to come back. ❤️

This place CAN NOT be more better located. The taxi let's us out on Paris street and we have to drag our luggage about 100 meters to the hotel as the streets are pedestrians only. The hotel itself is hard to locate from google maps. Best search for Cafe Mozart and come to the 1st floor where the reception is. This place does have elevators which save my life as we have a huge luggage. The room was decent size but we change later to the room with the view of the square with 20euros extra per night which is well worthed. The reception we met, Arthur, was amazingly helpful. The breakfast spread is impressive for a small place and has direct view of the clock. It's 10 minutes walk to every where. Highly recommend!!!

It’s right next to the clock tower. That’s the only plus really. Yeah it also looks neat if you like antiques and roleplaying a medieval peasant or knight. I wouldn’t be back. I would rather stay somewhere else and walk the extra minute to get to the square.
- Given a smaller room than what I booked. Corrected when I complained so not a big deal but make sure you check what you really should be getting.
- Walls razor thin. Could clearly hear conversations going on in other rooms or the hallway or even outside.
- My building had no elevator and required a good 2 minutes of walking from the entrance, through 3 locked doors, around multiple hallways and passages, and up 3 flights of stairs.
- wifi connection basically unusable even for simple tasks like checking email or maps. My phone couldn’t connect at all. My computer was better off using my phones data tethering.
- Breakfast in the Mozart Cafe was included but the food was GOD AWFUL and I skipped going there after the first morning. Even the coffee was burnt and undrinkable despite it coming from a machine.
- Given a remote to the thermostat but it didn’t seem to work, had to play with multiple boiler dials instead. Room way too hot first time walking in.
- Given a discount card for like 10 eateries or bars but their google review ratings are all 2/5. Lets you know everything is definitely an ownership issue.

This property is a one-of-a-kind. In the 4 days we walked around Prague, there was no other hotel location or view that could have been compared to Grand Hotel Praha. The views from the room were absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel is located in the most beautiful part of Prague is Old Town Square. Staying here also allowed us to walk to all of our destinations with ease (we never had to use the car, even to walk the short distance across the other side of the river and town!). The hotel has a great breakfast with many good and fresh options, and the meal selection located downstairs in cafe Mozart was also amazing. Any and every type of food option is within a short walking distance. The staff was absolutely amazing, and incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Every single of them truly contributed to giving us the most magical stay in this beautiful city. A heads up for travelers that are early sleepers- you are located RIGHT in the center of old town square, bringing many people to gather the streets at night and also to see the views of the Astronomical Clock Tower (especially later in the day/ night.) We found this to actually be a huge positive of the trip, as it was a brilliant sight to see every hour, but some people may not!

This is not a complaint, only a suggestion! Valet service is very convenient since parking can be difficult in bigger cities and seeing the city's beautiful sites require lots of walking. However, the valet service does park the car a few blocks up the road and proved a little bit difficult with all of our luggage and bags. A cart/ luggage trolley would have been helpful to/from the hotel from the lot. This in no way took away from the brilliance of this hotel, and is only a small suggestion!

We will be back, and will always stay here! Will forever recommend! Thank you Hotel Praha!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the grand hotel praha. The breakfast buffet overlooking the astronomical clock was simply stunning. We looked forward to breakfast everyday. The staff was courteous and helpful with all of our questions. The layout was quirky but we enjoyed its charm

Our room overlooked the clock, which is amazing. It was also very big and clean. It did have negatives. The heating was on far too hot, and we woke up feeling a bit sick. They have some old fashioned looking radiators, so we didn't want to touch them. We ended up opening the window, and we needed an artic blast to cool us down.
I like to sit in bed and plug my phone in so I can have a Google map. There were no plug sockets next to the bed. There was no long length mirror.

You can have the best view in the world at a hotel but I've stayed in cheaper hotels that have made me more happy.

Right in the center of it all. Walking distance to anywhere in the city. Directly across from the astronomical clock, slightly hidden in plane sight. Great rooms, clean, with nice design and furniture ???????? nice paintings too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would come back for another stay.

I spent a month traveling in Europe with my daughter and spent the last five nights here. I would not recommend staying here due to the management and the facilities.
We arrived on the first evening and were checked in and taken to a room out of the main hotel. I was disappointed in the room and then realised that this was not the deluxe room with a view that I had booked seven months prior.

We were moved to the correct room the second night - no apology, first they tried to say that’s what I booked, when I showed them my booking confirmation then they said it’s because I asked for two beds that they downgraded us.

I understand that I asked for this, but they should have advised in advance that this would only be a standard (and therefore cheaper) room, not a deluxe. They also refused to refund the difference for the first night although we had to repack, move to the other building etc.

I did read reviews afterwards and realised this happens reasonably often…

The facilities are lacking, there is no kettle or coffee machine and the first room had the shower head so low you had to duck down.

The porters, cleaning and wait staff are polite and do a good job.

This rating is on the “Luxury Residence “which they advertise.seperate from the hotel. It's nothing more than a rundown tired flat full of mismatched second hand furniture with dirty blinds and curtains..No cupboards or drawers in bedroom. A disgrace.
Be aware that it is nothing like the pictures on the website..everything has been downgraded…Fraudulent advertising is the term I would use. The charge for the room is now in dispute with many photos and video to back up the claims.
