Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time. Our waiter was thoughtful and had great advice! We took the truffle gnocchi and the fish of the day (it was swordfish steak), with a burrata as an appetizer. All incredible.

This restaurant was amazing!! Have to give an extremely big shout out to Josip (I hope that’s how you spell his name) who was our amazing waiter for the evening. Super knowledgeable when it came to the menu and a lovely person. The food was gorgeous, particularly the fundamentum platter for entree which had a great variety. We also got the fish of the day which was swordfish that evening and it was beautifully cooked and had lovely flavour. It seemed like all the other tables had nice food and it was a beautiful seating area particularly at night with the streetlights through the castle walls. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great feed.

If you are the one that likes secluded places that are not on everybody’s path this is the place for you. True hidden jam in an otherwise busy old town. The food is delicious!

Gorgeous little restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and lovely staff - we were served by the owner, who is clearly very passionate about his place. We had the veal gnocchi and a seafood pasta - both were great (in fact the gnocchi was exceptional!). So much better than any other place we tried in our around town.

absolutely delicious. My wife and I had dinner here, we split burrata over arugula and tomatoes and a nice bottle of wine. I got veal gnocchi and she got truffle gnocchi. If you're looking for a fantastic and relaxed dinner, this is the place. You can also make a reservation, we didn't as many places in Korčola don't take them, but this place does FYI.

The homemade gnocchi were excellent. Unfortunately the portion was a little too small for me, which I told the waiter. As a result, I got a dessert for free. Very good service, absolutely recommendable!

After reading all the amazing reviews I had really high expectations. Food was delicious but gnocchi with truffles portion was really, really small. Pasta with prawns was delicious, brownie for dessert was just okay. The restaurant is in tight street so there was no breeze or air, it was incredibly hot to sit outside. There are no fans so just be aware if you’re bad at handling heat. The service was lovely though, the staff is really polite and helpful.

A charming restaurant tucked in the alley, everything on the platter was delicious and our prawn pasta was so flavourful. The highlight was the kind staff - thank you!

Beef steak was like a piece of wood with terrible side dish,pasta was ok but to pricey,wine was local but priced like it’s from Mars. And,my favourite,you ask for a jug of watter and they bring you the bottled one! All together-avoid!

We enjoyed to walk the familiar path to Fundamentum and to be greeted with joy and recognition by Boris. You can feel that Fundamentum places value on quality in food and drinks (the selected wine list) as well as on a warm welcome for its guests. With his friendly, attentive nature, Josip perfectly complements the Fundamentum team. He always finds the time for a funny conversation or a professional wine consultation.

My personal favorite and an absolute heartfelt recommendation this year were the truffle gnocchi.

We hope to see you again next year :)

Dimos por casualidad con este hermoso lugar, está en una calle discreta de Korčula y fue una experiencia magnífica en todos los sentidos. Tiene dos accesos para ingresar. Íbamos sin reservación pero eran las 7:30pm y tuvieron una mesa disponible, después de esa hora todas las mesas estaban ocupadas.

Pedimos la sopa del día que era de calabacita (zuccini) y fue una sorpresa que un plato tan sencillo fuera tan delicioso!!

Mi pareja pidió gnocci con catfish y quedó maravillado. Yo soy vegetariana así que pedí gnocci con trufas, creo que los mejores que he probado!
El pan con el que acompañan los alimentos es tan suave y esponjoso que asombra. El vino dulce espumoso una maravilla, el ambiente romántico, la atención fue de lo mejor, siempre al pendientes por si necesitábamos algo.

De esta cena para dos personas fueron poco menos de 65 euros. Si está dentro de tu presupuesto por favor date la oportunidad. Al lado de nosotros estaba una familia que iba a repetir la buena experiencia. ????????
