I cannot recommend staying at this hotel. It may be new, but the beds are rock hard and generally uncomfortable, even though there was a topper on the mattrace. The bathrooms are tiny and old fashioned. You can't take a shower without floating the bathroom. To get to our room, we had to carry our luggage for almost a mile from the car, because you cannot actually drive the reception. Then we had to carry the suitcases four flights of stairs to our room. There is no elevator. The young lady from reception offered to carry our luggage herself, which, of course, we politely declined. We had breakfast included, only to find out that all nice things, that are standard in any other hotel, like granola, are charged extra. If you are gluten intolerant, you'll be in big trouble. They serve toast and danish. And by the way, you should get used to drinking espresso. There is no normal coffee. Overall, the hotel looks very charming, but a closer look reveals many problems. And it's certainly not worth the steep prices.

L’hôtel Bellevigne reflète entièrement ses 4 étoiles. Nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits, la literie est très confortable et la chambre spacieuse. La décoration et l'agencement des éléments sont soigneusement pensés et harmonieux. L’hôtel est idéalement situé, il y a beaucoup d’activités proposées. Nous avons eu la chance de réaliser un massage en chambre, la praticienne est au petit soin et répond vraiment à vos besoins.
Quant au restaurant, rien à dire: le petit-déjeuner est copieux et varié, avec un large choix comprenant yaourts, jus, viennoiseries, fruits, jambon, fromage, le tout provenant de producteurs locaux ! Les plats sont délicieux et magnifiquement présentés.

Je recommande vivement cet hôtel, tant pour son cadre charmant que pour son service à l'écoute.

Hôtel très joliment refait avec goût.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et parfaitement équipées.
Le personnel est adorable. Gros bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui pour moi n’est vraiment pas à la hauteur du lieu.

Below Expectations

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our tour in Burgundy. We chose it for New Year’s Eve as it seemed luxurious and romantic.

We arrived around 1:00 PM but had to leave because access to the room wasn’t available until 4:00 PM. Meanwhile, the hotel didn’t provide ANY SERVICE except for a wine tasting a few kilometers away (with outside temperatures at -1°C).

Overall, it’s a nice property, well-maintained, located in a small village in the Côte d’Or region.

The room, however, was questionable: so small that we couldn’t even open our suitcases! The bathroom lacked any surface to place toiletries or even a toothbrush. The only positive note: the bed was really comfortable.

Before dinner, we decided to have an aperitif and ordered two glasses of Crémant de Bourgogne, which were served warm (we asked for replacements, of course). The appetizer accompanying the wine was the same starter included in the dinner menu, so we ended up having the same dish twice.

The dinner was nothing special, especially considering the price. The risotto was tasteless, and the truffle lacked any distinctive flavor. The best dish was essentially a “gourmet” meat roulade with mashed potatoes.

Breakfast the next morning was disappointing: modest and comparable to any mid-range business hotel chain. For instance, there were no dried fruits for the yogurt, and the orange juice was store-bought. While the New Year’s Eve celebration could justify some shortcomings, if a hotel charges premium rates, it should maintain a high level of service throughout.

We do not recommend it.

Excellent séjour passé dans un hôtel intimiste avec une décoration soignée et une atmosphère reposante.
Le personnel est attentionné, nous avons été très bien reçus.
La literie et les équipements de la chambre sont incroyables, parfait pour une pause au calme loin du tumulte de la ville !
